Re: Piketon vs. Chesapeake
Streaks pull away in the end after several gulps out of the Maalox bottle.
Re: Piketon vs. Chesapeake
socfan,
After making so many Piketon people mad at me during the football game I figured I could say it this way just this once
After all, they aren't playing Da TIGERS

I'm telling you they will be facing some battle tested young men, that will not back down from size or anything else. The most dangerous teams in the tournament is the underdog...
Nobody is underestimating Piketon. At least i'm not. Never once said it wont be a great game and will come down to the end. And just so you know, Peake is the underdog in this one. Piketon is seeded number 2 and Peake number 3.

To much Evan Legg for Peake in the end. Piketon by 5 on free throws, This should be a dandy.

Chesapeake's going to win because...they're my team! I know nothing about Piketon, so I'm not going to make up reasons why.

Re: Piketon vs. Chesapeake
Coach Kelley should fire up the piketon squad by talking about his tourny run with the ironton tigers back in 93-94.
Re: Piketon vs. Chesapeake
Jimmy the Greek, what happened to your opinion? Curious Band wagon posters want to know. Which I dont know who that might be referring to. Dont go to Vegas looking for a job. Good luck to the boys from both squads! Its all about them. Did Piketon have a makeup game this week like the Peake? Peake played Southern and won by 11 in a hard fought game from what I hear. Just curious if the Streaks played.

Re: Piketon vs. Chesapeake
I have a stress fracture in my left foot. Have been hampered on my running at the Y for the last few days. Should be OK to root on the Streaks Sunday!
Hoggy, you talk to Bear very much anymore?

If Chesapeake gets out in the break, but runs their offense when they don't get a transition bucket, then I give the advantage to them.
The Peake have alot of size and good shooters. The Streaks have played good ball without Southworth for much of the season. Should be a battle.
Best starting 5's? #3 can't shoot the ball to save his life unless it's from the foul line. #44 doesn't even look to score when he gets it. #55 sits on the block and they don't even look to get him the ball. Only very few times did he actually touch the ball on the block with them entering it into him.

Easy now Kram, they didnt win those games they did by not being pretty good! Remember Sun Tzu's Art of War, never ever underestimate your opponent!
Re: Piketon vs. Chesapeake
Yea but Copley is all I have seen for them. I watched them twice and the McMasters kid had like 25 against Fairland and Copley had like 17 or or something. But then against South Point, Copley had like 28 and a good 10-12 of them were from the foul line. He is the only real scoring threat CONSISTENTLY I see for them, and if we shut him down, I think we will be alright.
Re: Piketon vs. Chesapeake
I see where Peake beat Racine Southern last night 61-50 in a non-league game.
Re: Piketon vs. Chesapeake
Racine Southern is a mediocre D4 team tho. If Eastern would of made their shots, Southern wouldn't be Sectional Champs IMO. I don't mean to take anything away from them, but if you watched the game, you would know what I mean.

...in the words of champions..."Never fear your opponent!".... Don't forget, Piketon is still the D-3 DEFENDING Regional Champions!
