Congrats to Fairfield's Chris Cox 1,000 pts.
Congrats to Fairfield's Chris Cox 1,000 pts.
Let me be the first to say congrats to Fairfields Chris Cox for scoring his 1,000 point tonight in the sectional final game against South Webster. Only second boy in school history to score 1,000. I know he would have liked to have the win instead, but that is just the kind of kid he is. Great season Chris and the Lions!

Congrats Chris. I know Chris and he wanted this game along with this accomplishment bad. Too bad he couldn't get both. He will be in the gym and weight room all summer long. Watch out for him and the Lions next year!!

Congrats Chris... Your a great ballplayer and even better kid. What a nice accomplishment. Be proud of what you've done so far. Keep things in perspective and continue work hard to make yourself an even better basketball player and teammate. I can't wait to see wait to see what you have in store for us in the future.

Congrats...this kid works hard....he goes in on "off days" and shoots and lifts everyday...he can do it all...he can make the three and then get a fast break and slam one down (ask east clinton and west union about that lol)..
He could break all-time record next year for fairfield..

Re: Congrats to Fairfield's Chris Cox 1,000 pts.
If your team played 3 full seasons and you went to the district semis, sectional finals and sectional finals those 3 years you would need 15.4 pts per game to make it.
Re: Congrats to Fairfield's Chris Cox 1,000 pts.
It doesnt matter if he is 17 or 18, scoring 1000 points in 3 seasons is still a good accomplishment
Re: Congrats to Fairfield's Chris Cox 1,000 pts.
overthetop-downplaying or being critical of a high school kids accomplishment doesn't make you look any better, grow up.
Chris-Congrats and good luck over the summer and next season.

Wow, nice work overthetop way to bash a kid who works hard on the floor and hard in the classroom. My daughter will be an 18 yr old jr I guess we should look down on her also. Some people always have to be negative even if they have no idea what this kid has gone through in life. Good job Chris, no matter how old you are!

Re: Congrats to Fairfield's Chris Cox 1,000 pts.
I was not putting anyone down just a statement. Congrats to the kid and Fairfield's program. Has Farfield ever went to state in anything? Girls Softball once? I know it is a rabid basketball town. It would be nice to see them advance to state or regionals sometime
Cox was the only player on Fairfield that has a chance to play at the next level. If he keeps improving he could go to a D2 or D3 NCAA program. He must get stronger and improve his play farther away from the basket. I hope he makes it.
Let's keep things in perspective on scoring points and being a big time player. Over 40 times kids have put up 2,000 plus in Ohio. Justice same league as Fairfield (Peebles) is at 1,500.

Congrats Chris. No congrats to the Fairfield program. Considering they have only had two players score 1000.
