The thing that made me lose my cool was all the manchester fans thinking that eastern couldn't hang with their division. You can say it was the defense that forced their poor shooting, but defense has nothing todo with wide open threes. Eastern defense was far better than manchesters especially in the second Half. When eastern ran the ball inside everytime and ran plays, they did just fine and that's how they came back. But they had plenty of open attempts and just couldn't cash in. Manchester was the better team last night. And I agree, the officiating was ridiculous both ways. It was some of the worst I've seen at the convo in the last week. Just plain awful.

I didnt say that Eastern couldnt hang with the SHL league! More than likely they would have finished 2nd in the SHL small school division in front of Whiteoak, Fairfield, and Manchester. I also said Eastern was a great D3 team (better all around than the 3 just mentioned) they are one of the few teams that actually set screens and move the ball well instead of just going one on one. All I said is that they would lose some games in the SHL probably go around 15-5 which would be an outstanding season. By the way, Peebles won the SHL small school division.

The officials certainly did not help Easterns' cause in this game. But it was the cold shooting by the Eagles that spelled doom. If they made the wide open shots like they usually do Howie would have gotten to put one on Racine again for the third time in one season. Then it would be off to the regionals for Howie's boys. Oh well, saves me money on a ticket as I refuse to go watch those pesky varmints from the south end tomato fields. :12224

pretty tunnel visioned to think Eastern would not have lost 4-6 games in the SHL.

classof86 is being very reasonable....Eastern had a great season

I would have loved to seen Eastern with a tougher schedule this year. I think that is really what made the difference in the game.
