Really? Why would he be added on, why isn't he running now? Rumor has it he has shown up at the VC track a few times to do some running/practice or something.......isn't that kind of odd?

Chanda Cucker went 5'5" in the high jump and Anna Pimento went 127'9" for Athens in the discus.

If you do not know, I am a track coach for VCHS.

Normally as a coach, I do not post other than to provide information, but for Jaylen's sake and the sake of the VCHS Track Team, I want to clarify your "rumor" so that you have some facts.

This running or "practice" as you have called it has not been associated with the VCHS Track team. Anything Jaylen has done has been of his own accord by himself. I do not want to be accused of having athletes who are presently enrolled at other schools being associated with our track team. I'm sure you did not mean it as such, but your statement could be interpreted as such.

If you need anymore information, I'm sure his parents would be happy to answer any questions or concerns about the "odd"ity of his schedule and workouts. I'm sure their number is in the phone book. Also, I am at the track Monday-Friday until from 3:00-6:00 if you want to introduce yourself to me so we can talk.

Coach K I didn't mean to imply that he was practicing with the VC team. I just thought it was odd if he had
been at that track instead of at Wellston since he goes to school there and it was posted to add his name
on for the track stats. Sorry for the misunderstanding, I will word it differently next time. Tried to send a
PM but didn't look like you had it open.

I know the reason if he is indeed running or practicing at VC facility. The facility at Wellston is horrible.He did not run track because of the condition of the track @Wellston , it made his knees sore last year and he thought it was thr reason he had hamstring problems last year running or attempting to run on that track. The track is made of ashphalt and is in poor condition. I do know that he has been lifting weights with the Wellston football team.
I for one do not think he is practicing with the VC track team.Just getting some running in on their nice track.JMO

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't think you meant he was practicing with the track team, but it was just a can of worms I did not want opened.

Some of Wellston's runners have been using the track at Jackson for practice. Someone from the community needs to step up and lead the charge for fixing this problem if they haven't already.
