Pitchers and Catchers have started the 2010 season. . .Lady Eagles looked to get off to a Flying start. . .with a solid core coming back this season and looking to improve from District Runner Up finish from last season . . . .
All -District Senior Brandi Fitch - Catcher, BA>350, strong arm,
Juniors All-District Taylor Mason - P/1B, BA>500, crushes the ball,
All-District Regina Leftwich - SS/P, BA>450, canon arm,
Amber Lockhart - 2B, very fast,
Sophmores Natalie Perry - P/1B, great bat, great arm, great pitcher,
Brit McNabb - OF, strong arm, power stick,
all are working hard for the 2010 season . . . . Good luck lady Eagles. . .many of these young ladies have played travel ball in the summer, dominated the fallball season, and couldn't be touched during the indoor season. . . .Lets keep the solid play during the 2010 season. . .should be a great run in High School this season. .

Well Lady Eagles had their first scrimmage for the 2010 season vs Marietta, Taylor Mason took the mound for the first couple innings did an outstanding job, followed by Regina Leftwich for the next couple of innings and finishing off with Natalie Perry, all three did a very good job for their first real test of the season keeping Marietta at bay all evening. . .offensively the core group picks up where they left off from their run to the disticts last season, with Brittany McNabb taking one to left center fence, Natalie Perry driving one, and Regina Leftwich goes deep to right center, Brandi Fitch putting it in play, and going yard Taylor Mason center field solo shot has Belpre fans excited to get to the regular season. . . Good luck lady eagles and also good luck to the Marietta Tigers . . .

Its officially started, Belpre Lady Eagles have had their season opener vs Nelsonville. . . Lady Eagles 12, Nelsonville 1. . . short recap: Junior Taylor Mason took the rubber to start and had several strikeouts leaving the Buckeyes without a hit. .Sophmore Natalie Perry came in on relief and did an outstanding job but an error and a hit to centerfield gave N'ville their only run. Junior Regina Leftwich closed for the Eagles and gave up 2 walks, fly out, and a double play by their 2nd baseman ended the Buckeye rally to end the game in 5 innings. . . Belpres offense was explosive with deep hits by lead off batter Sophmore Brittany McNabb, followed up by big hits by Sophmore Natalie Perry, Junior Regina Leftwich, Senior Brandi Fitch, and a Monster shot over left center by Junior Taylor Mason and almost every starter for Belpre had a hit tonight . . . A real test will be tomorrow night as the Athens Lady Bulldogs come to Civitan Park, with a 5:00 pm start . . this could be the tale of the tape for both teams with an early match up as both are expected to be at the top of the TVC at the end . . .Good luck lady eagles lets take care of them dogs! ! !

Error bug catches the Lady Eagles as a multiple errors on one play costs them 2 runs, two drop fly balls, and the Eagles come up short vs the Lady Bulldogs. . .Credit to the Bulldogs who didn't quit when they were down and kept battling back to take the lead . . .The Eagles left several stranded on the bases and couldn't find a way to get them in. . . .Good test to see where we go from here . . as the Lady Eagles travel to Williamstown on Saturday for a double header at 12:30 . . .Good luck Lady Eagles

Lady Eagles Sweep Williamstown in double header today. . .Sophmore Natalie Perry took the rubber in the first game and did a good job with Junior Taylor Mason who came in to close, notable solo HR from Junior Regina Leftwich her first on the season. . . in the nightcap, Junior Regina Leftwich pitched a complete game 5 inning game, . . which all or almost all players on Belpres roster got to contribute in this non-conference win. . . way to go Ladies keep it up ! ! !

Lady Eagles win their 5th in a row. . . .Sophmore Natalie Perry took the rubber to start and did a superb job for 5 innings, then Junior Regina Leftwich came in to close with two shut out innings. . . .Sophmores Brittany McNabb and Natalie Perry found some solid shots in the game with Juniors Regina Leftwich with an inside the park HR and Taylor Mason had a monster shot over left center hitting the batting cage . . .Senior Brandi Fitch on base percentage was 1000 . . . .also contributing to the hit parade was junior Amber Lockhart, sophmore whitney, and freshman Ayden, Molly, . . .team is coming on and getting better each game. . . slow start but strong finish with 5 runs scored in top of the 6th inning. . . keep soaring eagles . . good luck tomorrow as Alexander rolls into town but the radar shows rain is on the way . . . .

Lady eagles drop two to Eastern, both teams were missing some key players in the games due to ACT testing and college visits. . . Junior Regina Leftwich took the rubber in the first game and did a nice job but the error bug gotem early and cost the eagles two runs in the first inning and eastern added one more on reliever Junior Taylor Mason,. . . .Second game Sophmore Natalie Perry pitched a complete game and did a good job but did give up a center field dingger to eastern catcher ally rawson. . .belpre hopes to back on track as they travel to Meigs on Monday. . .lets go lady eagles. . .

Lady Eagles back on track with win over Meigs 11 - 7, Junior Taylor Mason took the rubber and did a very good job thru 5 innings giving the close to Sophmore Natalie Perry managed to hold off a late surge of hits and errors to give the lady eagles their 7th win on the season . . . .just about every lady eagle had a hit or scored on the evening. . .way to get back on track lets go tomorrow as Wellston comes to town. . .
