Sider Football!
Re: Sider Football!
The smiley face was in reference to the passing game...I just don't think there will be a "three headed monster" this year, that was special year that feature 3 very good and very different runner, I don't think we will see that again, but that doesn't mean that I as though West does not have talent, I just think it will be packaged in a diffferent way than the 2008 season. I feel that Trevon is the only true feature back on the team as of right now (Crace will probably be one in the future), but he has many weapons surrounding him that can produce in many different ways. Whereas in 2008 you had 3 boys that were all lead backs and absolute bruisers, this year you have that one guy and a lot of combo backs that can hurt you in different ways.
Auger is one of the most athletic boys I have seen in a while, but I feel he is more of a "All-purpose" type player that will take some handoffs, catch some passes, and return some kicks. Jerrod is more of fullback type that will get you tough yards out of the backfield, as is Adam...Adam can catch very well too. You also have Kyle Locher who I believe will have breakout year his senior year and Tanner Journey who played some quarterback and can do anything that is asked of him. Like I mentioned before Crace is the wildcard in all of this, he could push for a lot of time in the backfield, but you never know about Sophomores, its a real hard age to predict, regardless of physical abilities
Obviously the line and Levi's devolpment is the key to the offense

I do believe that if you are predicted to a have, "a breakout year". Maybe you should come to a few workouts with the team. Especially if you are a senior. You should lead by example. Some players haven't been seen since last football season.

Re: Sider Football!
From what I'm hearing we've got a seven headed Monster this year. Levi, Pendelton, and several good receivers.Oh yeah! And a whole Weight Room full of strong Lineman. Bigger ,Stronger,More Experienced. Cant' Hardly Wait!
Re: Sider Football!
west did alwsome at the 7 0n 7 compition yesterday the lineman from west were very strong benching 185 for reps of 22,25,34,36. and the truck push was very exiting that west pulled off.
Re: Sider Football!
west line is probably the strongest in this area with adam newman cody bricker matt bennet and conway cooper. and with a combination of talented back it looks to be a great season.

I would not cast those names in stone yet. They have not even put the pads on yet and their Coaches are far from calling out a stating unit. But it still great to see that all these kids have worked hard this winter.

That is very, very close I would say. I believe there will be alot of rotating also to keep them fresh. I also
think all of them bench over 300, but remember it's speed that kills.

speed may kill but if you get pancaked everytime the linemen get hands on you....your dead.

Just remember 2 years ago Ports. had 2 D1 linemen that was big and strong and talented. West won 34-0
because of speed and determination. To be a good player is not only size and strength but more than
that I'll take speed and desire!!!
