59-36 final. And the guys from 107.7 that were covering the game, quit whining about Oak Hill having their starters in with a 19 point lead with four minutes left. I'm not sticking my neck out too far to say that either NY boys or girls coach would have kept their starters out there with that margin.

You two from WSEO should have done a Waterford girls game this year, I'd have loved to hear your call for "calling off the dogs" over the airwaves

I would have been considered a "mildy" about that, based upon how you guys were implying bad sportsmanship on Doug Hale's part.........

This game was on 107.7 tonight. Great job by Mike and Eric Wilson. Its been a pleasure listening to you guys do these games throughout the years...THANK YOU SO MUCH. I don't think these guys were complaining because they could run up the score, why take the chance of getting your kids hurt when they will be moving on. Give these guys a break. Lady Spartans...you have no reason to hang your head. You have made us all very very proud in Athens County..Thank you ladies..

I want to start by saying Great Job to the Lady Oaks and wish them luck the rest of the way. You have a very very good team that plays hard and has a lot of talent. You can win it all.
With that being said, Alexander played very hard. I think you handled the press better than everyone thought and you did a pretty good Job causing some oak hill turnovers. All the oak hill players are very talented and you did a good job considering all on here felt oak hill could beat you by as many as they wanted and that Karissa Adkins and Rebecca Puckett (which are excellent athletes and basketball players) were going to walk all over you. I don't think that happened. Oak Hill beat you with a total team effort, they had to play hard for their 23 point win. I know Karissa scored 8 and I think Puckett had around 12 (may be wrong). Which is credited to your never die attitude. I think Alexanders legs were very tired, which will happen when you play 32 minutes of ball with no rest. As far as fanosport saying you had to earn respect I think you did tonight. With the kind of players and attitude Oak Hill has I am sure if you ask one of their players they would say Alexander played them tough and they had to work hard.
I thought both teams showed great class tonight. I saw more than once players from both teams helping each other up off the floor. Both teams showed very good sportsmanship.
It was fun to be able to watch so many AP ALL-DISTRICT PLAYERS playing on one court. 1st team Karissa Adkins, Rebecca Pucket, and Whitney Daugherty, 2nd team Lakin Caudil and Morgan Grinstead, 3rd team Taylor Hale, and Special Mention Mikie Strite and Kayla Radekin. Congrates to all these girls on their accomplishments this year.
As for those posters which said Alexander couldn't win outside the TVC Ohio, you know who you are, I think they have also proven you wrong. They were district champs which just got beat but what just may be State Champs. Not a bad feat for a team that wasn't suppose to win this year and their tallest player being 5'7".
Hats off to both teams and GOOD LUCK LADY OAKS you have a very classy group of girls and you can tell has spent a lot of time in the gym. Your hard work has definitely paid off.

Absolutely! Alexander played their hearts out and played great defense. OH had to work hard for this win. Along with what some other posters have already said, Alex already had my respect. You don't make it to the regionals by luck. They are a fine ball club.

Congrates to the Lady Oaks, you are a very talented basketball team, I wish you the best of luck the rest of the way. I hope you get to play 3 more games.
As for the Spartans, way to work hard and not give up. You were fun to watch this year and I look forward to next year. We are going to miss you next year Kaitlin.

Hey O & B, you gotta earn respect before you get it !!!!!

So you are saying that they haven't earned any respect??? REALLY??

Those young women from alex should have earned a lot of respect. They work there butts off and play hard every game. They worked there a**es off tonight!!!!!!! Those girls didn't give up at all. They played hard until the very end! Oak Hill was way to much for them but that didn't stop them from showing up and playing there hardest.
In my opinion that game should have been a 50 point blowout but the lady Spartans kept playing and didn't lie down!!
Those girls earned more RESPECT in this blowout against the Oaks than any team I have watched this year!!!

Congrats to a very good Oak Hill team. You all showed why you made it to the State Finals last year and I wish you the best of luck in winning it all this year. Congrats to the Lady Spartans on a great season that came to an end tonight against a very athletic, talented and tall Oak Hill team. Both these teams played very hard and left it on the floor. The Spartans did what they needed to do on the D end of the floor but couldn't hit the shots on the other end. The height of the Oaks killed Alex defensively but Alex did a really good job when they had to play D against that height. As far as respect and sayin the Oaks were layin low saving their fire power. That was not the case tonight. The Oaks shot 48% and Alex shot 26%. Thats the difference in the game and Alex shot that because of how tall and athletic the Oaks are. It took a team effort from the Oaks for this win, noone went off in this game like most thought and that was because of the D that Alex played. Alex had 19 turnovers, maybe 5 came from the press while the Oaks had 21. Alex showed alot of heart and played hard every second of the game so they do deserve respect, they just ran into a better team tonight. I would also like to say CONGRATS to Kate our lone Senior, we will miss you. Thanks to Mike, Eric Wilson and 107.7 for broadcasting our games along with all the other games you do for our area. Good luck to Oak Hill the rest of the way. Great showing of spotsmanship and fan support for both teams.

Did anyone notice Alexander's coach during the timeouts? Just curious if anyone caught what I did.

Congratulations to the Alexander Ladies on a fine season. You gave the Oaks a beeter game than people thought you would. And I agree as posted before, the sportsmanship was outstanding on both sides. The Oaks again proved they have many weapons and the younger Butler stepped up this week. Although I was a little confused as to why she sat out most of the fourth qtr shooting as well as she was. And Caudill had a great game with several steals, rebounds, and blocked shots. Hale also had a good game. Good luck to the Lady Oaks against Ironton. I see a close game coming.

I think he crossed the line in how he was talking (or should I screaming like a mad man) to his team. Before anyone says it, yes I heard Coach Hale get excited at his team also but it was nothing compared to this guy. My girlfriend actually pointed it out to me. She couldn't believe it either. He had lost control of himself for a moment, red in the face yelling, throwing his arms around, hitting his clipboard on the floor, etc. This really took me by surprise after watching their last game. I have the upmost respect for the girls on the Alexander team in how they played the game and how the conducted themselves before, during and after the game BUT I lost respect for him over his actions displayed during the game!
