Biggest problem with Portsmouth high school program right now is that no one plays summer baseball. The summer is when you get better. The summer is when you get looks from college coaches and scouts. Congrats to Josh and good luck this summer to all the Post 23 players. I think there is a reason why Wheelersburg is the premier program in the area right now....because their kids play in the summer. Obviously the have a great coaching staff but probably as important or more important is the fact that their kids are willing to put in the time and effort.
