No they should win at least 10 or more games. They will have each of these teams twice. S. Galia, Miller, Southern, Wahama, Fed Hock, Trimble, Eastern, Waterford. Am I missing any? They can get 10. And yes they had a JV team. Actually started the season with over 20 girls. Ended it with like 11. WOW huh?

I thought Wahama had a decent girls program? Are they joining TVC Hocking too?
I don't see Belpre beating Eastern or Waterford even once.
possible splits: Fed. Hoc.1 southern 1 s. gallia 1 Wahama 1 =4
Miller 2 wins for sure =6
Trimble 2 very possible maybe? = 8
Are they playing Wellston? Fort Frye? Warren?
You may be right on the 10 wins.
Will be interesting. Weak schedule not good for tournament prepreation, but good to build confidence in a young team.
Just got to get and keep the young ladies on the court.

In the beginning they did have a JV team. They started with I think 19 kids that could play. Lost 4 or 5 due to grades, a senior quit, one freshman got hurt and another one quit..... Wow only two quit by their own choice. That needs put into perspective. If they win 10 games that would be a good starting point to the rebuilding. I think they play FF and Warren... hopefully things will get better!

Yes, I heard he is the front runner for this postion. Also, heard he has built several winning AAU teams in the past. Although struggling this year.

Maybe part of the problem with the program is that parents run their mouths too much...if the parents stopped bad mouthing the girls on Belpre's team and the coaching staff, the girls will work more as a team. Each player may be good individually- but if their parents are yelling at the coach to put their own child in, or are berating other girls on the team- our players will NEVER work together for a win...

Whoever the next coach is better be able to handle to rudeness from our own parents- who should be exhibiting appropriate behavior....
Please remember the person who becomes coach should be the only one who coaches- Parents should not be coaching from the sidelines or in the bleachers...those who do...aren't showing the respect that the coach deserves-

if you want to coach- apply for the job yourself- quit coaching from the sidelines

That is a great post that coaches everywhere would love to be effective.
Most parents will never stop. I have been to Oak Hill girls games and have heard Oak Hill people bad mouth Coach Hale, it never ends. Belpre is not alone with this problem; by a long shot!
We can always hope. Winning cures some of it, but doesn't end it.

This will never end at any school. As long as there are parents there will be problems in youth athletics. Sorry parents, but, every parents dream and most think reality is that their child will play College sports. The reality is, per the NCAA.org, Approximately three in 100 high school senior girls interscholastic basketball players will go on to play women's basketball at a NCAA member institution. That means .6 of your 20 team roster.
I know this does not apply to every parent. To those I apoligize. To the rest, just enjoy the few years you have your youth at home. They grow up to fast. Good luck.
Oh yea, this post got quiet. Any news on who is getting the job.

Now that the program has a coach it can move forward. Ok Lady Eagles now is the time to work in the off season on all aspects of your game. I have learned that the new weight room equipment is to start arriving thursday. This is a must to utilize this facility to your benefit.

GO LADY EAGLES!!!

To answer your question, at least from my point-of-view, there was nothing else left to say until the BOE made a hire and filled the position. Now that this has occured, I'm sure that things will heat up on this thread.

I wish the very best of luck to Coach Miller, you're gonna need it...........

Does this mean the girls will get 15% off their bill for team meals at Dairy Queen?

No, his thread will be fine. Once he gets his coaches all lined up I think he will do fine. He has the experience needed as long as he wants to put in the time. This is a step in the right direction. He will not deal with selfishness or drama. Time to play ball girls. Good luck to them.

I see them getting 10+ wins this year in the Hocking Division. You could add atleast 2+ to that if getting a new coach gets the Mason girl back out too!
