I graduated From SG in 07played basketball from 03 to 07 Brutus knows who I am so he can back that up. sry I got a year mixed up either way the Rebels for 3 years in a row won 15 to 18 games a season and for a small school no matter the divison that is good. Also we did play South Webster 2 times and like I said before losing to Webster by 14 is like beating Fed by 20. If you would read other post and threads you would know i am from SG. You can ask anyone on here that represents SG and they know who I am. Also ask Brutus if he thinks we could have beat Fed Hock,me and him played on the same team.

There is no doubt you could beat anyone that's why they play the game. The only thing I'm confused about how you losing to SW by 14 justifies beating Federal Hocking by 20? That's a 34 point swing. Last time I checked games were played on the court hence why you ran your mouth this year and Eastern came in and just beat the snot out of you guys.

Eatern beat us my freshman year in 03, and my sophomore year they beat us at home and we beat them at home, My junior and senior year we beat them every time we played them. Eastern beat the snot out of everyone this year. Next year they will not have a team like that cause all the talent is goin.

If a division 1 school won 15 games and played 8 division 3 and 4 schools would it be impressive???

If a division 4 school won 15 games and played 8 christian school/WV school games (at least) would that be impressive???

In 06 South Gallia lost to South Webster 84-35. Man that was a close one. Must be like beating FH by 40?

I did say what year we also plaed them in 05 check that score. SG only played 3 christian schools and 2 WV schools. I think they still play OVC.

Yes but you said they beat one of the best teams Trimble has had, and Eastern with one of their best players ever. That was in 06, when you lost to Webster by 49.

I have been around some great teams, and some that were not so great. One huge difference is the great ones don't talk about how many points they got beat by. But the not so great ones often say, "well we only lost to those guys by a few points so we must be pretty good..."

This arguement is crazy it wasn't like South Gallia in 2005 dominated the world they were a 4 seed and got beat by 12 to South Webster . I just don't the whole theory on they lost by 12 but could beat a TVC team by 20. I'm not taking anything away from the kids or anything but there are so many matchups in basketball that make it difficult to make that statement. Just because Lemoyne college beat Syracuse doesn't mean every team that Syracuse beat in the Big East would lose to Lemoyne .

Rebels on 3 wrote:The Oak Hill that SG Played had 4 of the same starter from the State champ team so it was pretty much the same team. Fed Hock has never played a team as good as the state champ South Webster team. Wahama was 7-0 when we beat them, Eastern had a good team they were the 2nd seed in the tournment with one of the best players on the team to go through Eastern, Nathan Cozart. Also beat one of the best Trimble team in awhile when they had Matt Chrisman and they were the number 1 seed that year. SG has had success aganist TVC schools in the last 5 years or so. SO they should be just fine. :122246

It is just funny when people get on here and try to cloud facts with little tid bits of truth when talking about how great their team is. The fact is when South Webster won the state championship they beat South Gallia by 49 points. But you are using a score from a different year and trying to say you only lost to the state champs by 14. Same thing with the Oak Hill reference. Saying you played a state championship team, when in reality you played them 3 or 4 years prior to the team that won the state.

But anyways back to the topic because you keep saying the same thing over and over, SG should do ok their first year in the TVC. I dont think they will come in and be in the top runners for the title, but they will win some TVC games. They have alot of returning palyers, and 3 starters are back. Wil be a interesting year for the Rebels and I wish them the best of Luck.

So what's the justification of beating fed hock by 20 that year ?

i agree you may win a few games. my prediction for south gallia next year is 6-15. not sure who your 4 non-league games are. If they are OHSAA sanctioned schools then 6-15. If not then 8-13.

League wins:

Miller (twice)
Southern (at SG)
eastern (at SG)
Waterford (at SG)

League losses:

Belpre (twice)
Wahama (twice)
Trimble (twice)
Fed Hock (twice)
Southern
Eastern
Waterford

League record: 5-11
League finish: tie for 8th, 7th is possible.
Tourny: 1st game exit in sectionals

That south gallia team was a good fast pace team and fun the watch but they are not the same team anymore.

I think it was the loss to South Webster by 49. That pretty much convinces me that SG could beat just about any team around here by 20.

That south gallia team i think could've beat most teams around here. Their second five off the bench was as good as most teams starters. DOnt know if they would have beat fed hock, it would have been a close game though, fed hock was bigger and strong but south gallia would have ran them to death.
