They could of been this year if it wasnt for injuries and complacency ...
Plus it would probably be the 2nd year together they could do that unless they mesh instantly...
but we all know that the lakers have no problem going over and neither will New Jersey because with the owner now being russian he will be closely watched and ridiculed and will have alot of pressure on his shoulders..He will be setting the path for future foreign owners just like obama if he messes up. But he has money and i bet you him and cuban will at some point try to outdo each other only for cuban to make a total azzz out of himself or for the russian to get owned silly

In 2 to 3 years the Nets will have a good team. They are young and the organization has money to spend.

All people have their differences, but you know as well as I it takes years of watching a sport to know how it all works, I just hate when jokers get on here a say random stuff to ruin a good sports talk. Yea we had our differences on the Cavs and Lakers but that is what this website is for. But back to the Nets they have a few good young players in Douglas- Roberts, Lee, Lopez, and Harris, and also have the money to bring in a superstar. So the future is bright for the young Nets.

Yes which is why i would do a sign and trade with them to get James Bosh Stoudemire Wade...they are great trade bait...i would only keep Douglas-Roberts and trade away the rest maybe keep lee or lopez and build around those 2 and 2 superstars and draft and and use free agency to build a team..Think about it...if any one of the 5 superstars would straight sign you know it would attract someone else

Douglas-Roberts is a solid player, I would prob also keep Lopez he's a young 7 footer with talent, just needs some work but will come with experience. If a superstar like LBJ or Wade signs with the Nets good talent will follow, and the Net will be a beast in the East. I think they are in a better positon on getting one of the superstats than the Knicks just because of the players they have now.

Yes but more money and endorsements would come from the knicks ... it has more prestige playing in the garden making history there...

Cant wait till June 1st the questions will be answered. You think Cleveland would have a solid team if LBJ leaves, cause without him they have the money to sign another big name.

If Lebron leaves, the Cavs return to mediocrity.

I'll feel bad for Cleveland when they have to take down the 4 story picture of LBJ. :122247

Im the biggest Bulls fan around and our summer plans should be simple....(in no order)

1. Sign LeBron James
2. Complete a sign and trade for Chris Bosh
3. Offer Phil Jackson a multi-year deal for $12-13 million dollars a year
4. If he says no, go after Doc Rivers

That is prob the most vauble to do list I have ever seen. If it happens like that watch out for the Bulls again. I think if Phil could go back to the Bulls with a team like that he couldn't turn down the offer.

To me, that has to be Plan A. If its not, I question our organization. If we cannot land Phil or Doc, then I like Jeff Van Gundy.

I absolutely, positively do NOT want to sign Joe Johnson under any circumstances. I really dont want Boozer or Amare either.

I think Joe Johnson is over rated.

IDK, Brown never did show me anything. LBJ surely didn't say he wanted to take the ball and have everyone just watch him and then for teammates not guard on defense and have him pick up the slack. Lebron is a smart bball player especially for his age. Most hs ball players know it is a team game and with Lebron's willingness and ability to pass the ball you can't tell me he wants to have to do everything for the team, if so he would take more shots. Some of his shots are because SOMEBODY has to shoot the ball. Plus when you go to games and never see Brown draw up any kind of play it says alot about his head coaching ability. My friend has been to around 25 games and said Brown would stroll into the huddle late and say "c'mon guys, play tough" or "rebound" then send em back to the floor never to even pick up his dry board.
