I think they should put Prince James, Tiger, and Favre on a desert island and leave them there. THEN we might actually get to hear sports other than their latest will he/wont he or brain fart.

Kudos to Corey Pavin for saying Woods wont be on the USA team just because of his name value; that he is going to have to earn his place on the team.

James and Favre live in their own world where they hold entire cities and sports franchises in limbo waiting to see what they want to do. These pampered, spoiled rotten, self important post adolescents get away with their behavior because we put up with it.

The LeBron soap opera is a bigger commentary on sports fans than it is on that egotistical, spoiled brat who makes more money than most countries in a year for throwing a leather ball through a steel hoop.

I love basketball as much as the next guy, but until and unless the sports fans of this country say "ENOUGH" and boycott games and quit spending hundreds of dollars for shirts, we have no one to blame but ourselves for being taken to the cleaners monetarily.

Guess what? Basketball thrived in this country long before Prince James and Byrant came along and it will be here long after they are gone. I mean, it survived seing Jabbar, Chamberlain, Russell, West, Robertson, Dr J, Magic, Bird, Jordan and others moving on. What makes them think they are better than any of them? Oh, wait a minute; I already answered that. Because they can get away with anything and people will just continue to line up like sheep and say, "Thank you sir, may I have another?"

Not this old boy! I havent been to an NBA game since Bob Pettit retired in 1965, so they arent getting rich off me. If It aint on TV or in the papers, I dont need it.

Consider this....if LeBron leaves he will be leaving $30M on the table that the Cavs can pay him that no other NBA team can. Obviously he isnt stupid enough to pass up $30M, so therefore he must believe he can make that loss back up wherever he goes. And guess who will be paying him all those dollars..................

Actually thats not true, That is just what the cavs can and have offered him, no other team can offer until he is officially a free agent on June 1st. I have ben saying this all along, James is going to get the richest contract in NBA history starting the 2010-2011 season, and it wont be from Cleveland.
I root for all Ohio teams, counting the Cavs, but I cannot stand James, he is nothing but a drama queen eating up the attention. He is a winer and I dont believe for a second he has any sense of loyalty to anyone but himself.

I think he would have to have alot of cooperation from the players in adapting to his defensive strategy and mindset. Like coach K got out of the guys on the national team. He is great at the one huge thing the Cavs have been missing and that is ball and player movement and running offensive sets. That alone would help alot of NBA teams get to another level. Can he relate to "pros" that may not be willing to work as hard as the college guy trying to make the next step.

That is prob the most vauble to do list I have ever seen. If it happens like that watch out for the Bulls again. I think if Plhi could go back to the Bulls with a team like that he couldn't turn down the offer.

To me, that has to be Plan A. If its not, I question our organization. If we cannot land Phil or Doc, then I like Jeff Van Gundy.

I hope LeBron stays in Cleveland, but I'll follow him and the Cavs either way. I've lived my entire life in Ohio and I'll always root for the Local teams and local players.

Im the biggest Bulls fan around and our summer plans should be simple....(in no order)

1. Sign LeBron James
2. Complete a sign and trade for Chris Bosh
3. Offer Phil Jackson a multi-year deal for $12-13 million dollars a year
4. If he says no, go after Doc Rivers

Say what you will about Kobe, but when Shaq left, people said he couldnt win without Shaq. That was how many championships ago? How many has Shaq won since he left LA?

Champions are the foundation of a championship team. If James is indeed the greatest player ever, it shouldnt take too many pieces to validate that.......even in Cleveland.

That was 2 championships ago, and Shaq has one since he left LA.

Also, LeBron said he'd make Akron proud, he never said anything about Cleveland.

A Jamesless Cavs team would be behind AT LEAST Orlando, Boston, Miami, and Atlanta in the East, and that is if he ;eaves the East. If he stays in NY or say Chicago, I believe BOTH of those teams move ahead of Cleveland in the playoff hunt for next year.

A James-less Cavs team, as currently constructed, would only be in front of the Nets.

If Cleveland loses James, they will get high lottery picks over the next couple of years.
They can recover, but have to rebuild, without the added team revenue that LBJ brings in.
