Chillicothe Capitals Baseball lists several local players on the Roster. Should be another great season for the Capitals. Hope to see everyone out to a game to support the Capitals.

Re: Chillicothe Capitals Baseball, Several Local Players
The Chillicothe Capitals will be entering their fifth season as a summer collegiate wood bat team competing in the Ohio Independent Baesball league. General Manager Mark Trainer and Head Coach Gene Bumgardner started the program in the summer of 2006, and have worked to improve the quality of the summer team every year. Our goal is to provide a place for area college players to play, and keep their skills sharp over the summer months, while having the flexibility of staying close to home. We try to give our players the opportunites to get recognized by professional baseball scouts, and have had three players move on to the next level in our short four year tenure. We also plan to be competitive every summer and qualify for the NABF Collegiate World Series. During the past four seasons the Capitals have won two NABF Collegiate Regional Tornaments, and have competed in the NABF Collegiate World Series three times.

sounds like a great league, and a good place for local talent to play

I wish this league would have been around about 11-13 years ago, I had to go to Dayton to play in a good collegiate league.

If I have anything to say it will..... Look for some great improvements with the program in the near future. We are alway looking to improve the opportunities for the baseball players of SE Ohio.
