Take for instance not more than 3 years ago the Lakers stunk. This was after Shaq had left town, and went on to win a title in Miami with Dwayne Wade. Kobe couldn't win a title without the big man, and then something astonishing happens. Poof the Lakers trade for/steal Pau Gasol from Memphis for Kwame Brown. Let me say that again in case you missed it. The Lakers traded Kwame Brown for Pau Gasol. One guy is horrible the other guy is arguably the best center in the game. Charles Barkley called it "Highway Robbery", and publicly criticized the trade. With that one trade LA became a power again. Amazingly Jerry West a former Laker is the Memphis GM. I wonder how the crooked trade was approved. Jerry West is also a guy that is always on tv professing his "Man Love" for Kobe Bryant.

Tim Donaghy disgraced NBA ref talked in his book about how the NBA fixed games for LA. The most notable was the 2002 western conference finals between the Lakers and the Sacramento Kings. Anyone who watched game 6 knew something was up. I remember watching it with some buddies in disbelief at the officiating. The Kings were blatantly robbed of an NBA title because Sacramento doesn't bring the name recognition that LA does. I've never seen anything like it in professional sports. Google it or go to youtube and watch it. You will see why the NBA and David Stern are crooked.

I will agree officiating is questionable, has been for a long time. That being said... Tim Donaghy??? isn't he out of the NBA now for betting on games? Yeah, I'm gonna read his book

I hate the 2-3-2 set up. Somebody else mentioned earlier, takes away the home court advantage if you lose one of the first 2.

I don't like the Celtics at all.

I'm a Cavs fan just rooting for the Celtics in the finals

I don't like LA, and the NBA has played favorites with them for years. Google the 2002 western conference finals. See for yourself if what Donaghy says holds any weight.

Is easy to watch and pick out calls/no calls when it involves a team you dont like. I do it when watching Duke play.

Pretty fun game to watch last night, the bench for boston came off REAL BIG, really goes to show ya that you canstop Bostons four headed monster and they can still win. IMO Big baby has played very well this whole series. Whose some possible MVP on either teams? For LA I would have to say Gosol (sp?) and for Boston I really don't know. KG was lost the first two games, yeah Ray had that one big night but other than that not to much, nice Paul P. has some ok numbers, I really thank it should go to the whole bench of Boston.

You are correct that the Boston bench won game 4. They are going to need to step up again tonight as well as the starters.

LA wins this game, with these two teams so evenly matched up i dont see one team wining two times in a row. That and i just dont see the bench of boston playing like they did the other night.

Back in LA, someone else must show up for the Lakers besides Kobe or this one is over. Lakers get the calls on the court at home in game 6 but the Celtics will be loose. They are playing with house money now. I think there will be a game 7 but Boston grits it out and team ball wins! :-D

They need to put Kobe on Rondo because he is unstopable. Rondo is the best PG in the NBA in my opinion.

Personally, I'd rather see Phil Jackson's string of 47 series wins when winning the first game go down in flames!

Game 6 tonight in LA

My prediction: Boston will be celebrating in the Staples Center tonight with champagne in the locker room. Kobe will walk off the court with tears in his eyes, and Phil Jackson will retire.

Predictions and thoughts.........................

Get yourself a new crystal ball. The Lakers are blowing the Celtics away and will force a game 7 at the Staples Center. New banner for the Lakers to raise next season.

boston wins by 7 tonight....look if you look at what happend last night....kobe and gasol played the way theyve been playing this series but look artest scored 15 pts that won't happen again and it was a fluke same thing for vujacic, so all boston needs to do is let kobe get his and stop everyone else even without kendrik perkins they can and will win. davis and sheed won't go scoreless two straight games plus with sheed or glen or scal. youll have a legit jump shooter on boston that will be on the floor the whole time

Kendrick Perkins going down last night is going to hurt the Celtics big time. They still have enough to get the job done, but it's going to take a team effort.

Celtics gave never lost a game 7 for the title in 4 attempts.

This year will be their first loss.

Lakers get another ring. I haven't liked the Lakers since the days of West, Goodrich and Chamberlain.
