Jesse Owens meet
I know that it is a good ways away but I was wondering how does one go about registering for this meet and is there any certain qualifications that a person would have to meet and any other special things? Thank you for any replies!

Re: Jesse Owens meet
I believe the meet is scheduled for May 7, 2011.
This past year, the high school coach had to sign the athlete/team up and it counted as one the the teams' allotted meets for the season (I think each team gets 16 meets) regardless if it is one athlete participating or the entire team. I am not aware of any qualifying performances, but the high jump and PV start at heights higher than at most high school meets. It was about $15 per individual to compete.
This year's meet was not as competitive as in year's past because it had to be on a Sunday, Mother's Day and the numbers were down as a result. It was also very windy. The 2009 meet was better - I hope May 7 is a Saturday. To see what the previous performances have been, you can go to Baumspage track and look at the last few years' results.
