Beverly/Lowell Legion is once again going to the State Tournament!!! They beat Cambridge the first game today by a score of 8-3. Chad Stengle got the win with relief from Evan Brockmier. The second game was won by a score of 8-4. Brandon Star pitched with help from Shane Crum and Tyler Proctor. Great win for these young men. Everyone played their hearts out in the INTENSE heat of this afternoon.

warriorfan 79 was that the intense heat from the sun or the field, or the dugouts, or the fans oops im sorry, fans are things that are cool. Maybe it was the home cookin and the cook wasn't minding the grill, because I smelt something burning. Well whatever the boys from B-L came through the fire. Some good hittin, great defence, and some 2 out rallies kept Cambridge at bay. CONGRADULATIONS BEVERLY-LOWELL THATS 2 IN A ROW :aaaaa26

They're a bit slow on coverage. but do a great job on all teams in Washington County ( including high school, and Marietta College ).

Job well done by: Kevin Pierson, Bill Robinson, Ron Johnson, and Joe Davis (Get well Joe, hope to see you at the games soon).

Also GW, Tom Metters has done a great job of covering Athens County sports for a lot of years.

Have talked to Tom many times at Athens events, and he is the master of sports trivia.

Beverly/Lowell took one on the chin this afternoon losing 14-3 to a very strong Napoleon.

Up next is Strongsville at 1;00pm tomorrow.

B/L beat Strongsville 4-3 Tuesday afternoon, then lost a 13 inning heartbreaker to Worthington 8-7.

Great season from all these Young men.

Most of these guys will return next year and have another long run into the post season.
