Funny how the same ref took matters into his own hands about 3 years ago when Jackson was leading by 17ish going into the 4th qtr...he was an amazing ref.....

I forgot about that one too Ironman92. Wasn't that the final game between Wellston and Jackson a couple years ago in the Hoops Classic? I think that was the same year Bruce Hurst & his Ironmen got homered at the Wellston tourney by the same ref mentioned earlier. How funny....probably just a really ironic thing. We need to get back to all the great, positive things about the Rockets, I wouldn't want to bring up anything negative about the past..it will get me in trouble. I wish the kids the best, and insinuating anything negative about that community or their staff will probably land me in jail, so I'll be nice...for now.

I wouldn't typically jump on the bash the refs thought....but in all of my basketball games that I've ever attended....it was the 2nd worst officiated game that I have ever seen. Delete if you need or want to...it won't bother me as I know this thread won't last too much longer and you are just doing what you feel is best.

Let me add this one thought Ironman92. What bothered me most about the 02-03 game between VC and Wellston that I spoke of earlier was the fact that that official (I do not know his name and wouldn't print it if I did) absolutely didn't care one iota that everyone in the gym knew he was deliberately sabotaging a good basketball game between two rival schools. I have to believe that the Wellston fans did not appreciate his calls even though the Rockets eventually won the game, primarily because of his calls.
