They played great today at the scrimmage. The second quarter between Peebles and Portsmouth was 16-3 in favor of the Indians.rogue47 wrote:Peebles was very impressive last night against a down NA team. Re: SHL 2010-11
Almost forgot....the Peebles JV was 1-1 today against Portsmouth....they played well early on in the period they lost but seemed to lose intensity as the quarter dragged on losing 17 or 18 to 10. The quarter they won was the complete opposite...they came out and played hard the entire 15 mins winning by around 12 points.

That's so cool! These 2 teams are going to have three dog fights on their hands this year (well, 3 if they both advance in the holiday tournament).

Re: SHL 2010-11
I think Peebles and Manchester only play each other two times, once at Manchester in the holliday tourney and once at Peebles. It will be two very good games by two very good teams. I would not be suprised by a split, although I am hoping for a sweep from the Indians of Peebles.
Re: SHL 2010-11
ah, thanks for the correction. The first game of the MIT must be a league game then. Am I right?peeblesfan97 wrote:I think Peebles and Manchester only play each other two times, once at Manchester in the holliday tourney and once at Peebles. That's correct. First game is a league game. Consolation and championship games are non league games.jchitwood wrote:ah, thanks for the correction. Re: SHL 2010-11
I am looking forward to seeing a very good Fairfield Lions team comming to Peebles on December 10th, a team that will make for a good game this coming Friday, to bad its a week away. However it will certainly be a good early measuring stick as to how good Peebles is this early in the new season, not to take anything away from an undermanned Southeastern Ross team as they played a hard fought game on the road against us tonight, but I think we will see where we stand as a team as far as the SHL is concerned.
Re: SHL 2010-11
I heard a rumor Cox was hurt tonight, but no details. I hate to see a kid get hurt, especially the first game of the season.

Cox is out for four weeks. Going to have to have the rest of the team to step it up for those couple of weeks.
