Ranger, that could be a combination to hit the floor at some point. I'm not sure who it would be against, maybe you should elaborate on the rest of the team, and why you choose this line up.
He just played football --Fivecoat
Brandon Fivecoat played last year and graduated, the other Fivecoat is Jeremy.

Venham sr.
Cunningham sr.
Hilverding sr.
Knost jr.
Hastie jr.

there are no Fivecoaits playing basketball this year. Venham is goin D1 to punt, lets just hope he can stay focused for one more season of basketball. If he does, the dynamic duo can lead this team to win the league. Cunningham has bulked up quite a bit since last season, still not the biggest guy on the court, but the way he plays, i dont think it really matters. scrimmage tonight @ nelsonville i believe. and why is there no topic for the warren warriors?

Portsmouth will have to play 4 SEOAL games without Andrew Bendolph........Warren, Jackson, Chillicothe, and Gallia Academy.........even without him, the Trojans will still be very formidable.......and with him, probably the point guard in the SE District, PHS will definitely contend for the title if they hold their own in those first 4 league games.

@ gahs4ever. That's funny....Trojandave is infamous for words to that effect....but if I were a betting man the words may have been more along the lines of, "You've got to be kidding me!" Jim-a-nee-Christmas! Good night! Sheesh!" lol.

bvmv4life: Likewise, good luck to your Cavaliers with the exception of 2 games......hopefully this is the year that we can end that 13 game CHS winning streak vs. the Trojans!!

The beauty of the start of the basketball season is that our teams will look a lot better by the time the tournament rolls around!!

Can somebody post Marietta and Jackson's schedule. I normally find all the schedules on highschoolsports.net, but these two aren't posted. Thanks.

Most talk on this thread has been with three SEOAL teams, Chillicothe,
Portsmouth, and Warren. These teams have a lot of returning talent with
proven coaches. One of them will more than likely win the league.

BUT there are four other teams. I think at least one (maybe more) will
SURPRISE some people. I don't know who (Jackson,Logan,Gallia Academy,Marietta) but it's bound to happen.

These 'other' teams have a lot to prove. New talent, new coaches, etc,
but this can be a positive. I think we have all seen this happen..

GOOD LUCK TO ALL

I'm afraid it will take more than one season before Logan's program starts surprising people. It will take a couple seasons before this program recovers.

Marietta should have a solid season not saying they will compete for the league title but a nice winning record is a good possiblity.
