Miller lost 4 of their 5 starters from a 1-19 team. is that considered losing alot? I don't know.

Maybe Miller & Meigs oughta get together and compare coaching notes.
Re: Best Returning Players: TVC Ohio and Hocking
does anyone have any idea what is happening at meigs? i have heard lots of rumors but nothing concrete.
btw meigs lost 4 starters and several 6th men.next year they will be even younger and have less experience... but the same coach.

I can understand why Miller struggles in sports, but why is Meigs so bad at basketball?
Do they have a biddy league program?

i do not know what the problem is myself. there is talent for basketball here. just does not seem to make it on the court. clearly there are no other meigs posters on here, lack of interest?

you just answered part of your problem, lack of interest. this plays a bigger role in why bad teams are bad than most people think.

How good is wahama? I've seen waterford at shootouts this summer and they do look a little better than last year. They have several seniors with experience on varsity.

Many years ago they used to have leagues at the Middleport Pool courts but I don't think they've done that for quite a while. When I go to visit periodically I ride by the old Pomeroy courts by the football field and no kids are ever playing and the same goes for Middleport. It's a shame because there is talent but you have to get these kids out of the house and interested in something other than video games and ipods but that is today's society and our future leaders

Waderker and Miller from Belpre, maybe Watkins if he decides to come out

I believe that Drew Nestor and Ryan Leasure from Belpre could step up and play their way into this category.

Rumor has it that Fed Hock will be scrimmaging Meigs this year. Does anyone know that last time these two teams met in regular season?
Re: Best Returning Players: TVC Ohio and Hocking
Meigs does have a Biddy League Program. I have coached Meigs talent for 5 years now. I coached a majority of the boys that will be Juniors this year and when in 6th, 7th and 8th grade these boys dominated all teams around here. Back then Eastern and Southern couldn't even compete with us. But as soon as they hit the High School level all that changed. What has caused it I have no clue, but I do know the talent is still there.
Meigs only loses one Senior this year, but they have last 2 other players this season to go to different schools. Two boys decided to go to Southern.

The current Junior class at Fed Hock has never played the Meigs junior class. I do know that Fed has dominated Eastern and Southern's junior class in 7th and 8th grade. The Fed Junior class also beat Wahama in 3 or their 4 meetings in 7th and 8th grade....for what its worth today.......
This should be a great year of hoops in the TVC!!!!!!
