it's an awesome facility. ironton has used it for a practice facility, when advancing thru the playoffs , when they are getting ready to play at turf stadiums. ahead of it's time for lawrence county. they could actualy add considerable more seating, and be a great playoff site. great consesssions, it's set up really nice. everything in that district is brand spankin new.

Looks like a great field other than there should never be a track around the field. It keeps the fans to far away from the actions. Portsmouth did a great job with there's with no track. The fans are right on top of the game big advantage to home teams. I wish we had either one of those facilities for our kids to play on.

Rock has let Symmes Valley; Wayne, WV; Tolsia, WV; and I think Raceland or Russell also use the stadium to prepare for the playoffs. Aaron Petry of Raceland/ Ohio State has been known to practice some FGs at Rock Hill also. It just goes to show how RH school district supports all local teams to represent our area. The stadium is very nice and one of the best in the area, the only negative that I see is where the locker rooms are located ( same for Coal Grove). I think that South Point is a nice venue but the soccer lines detract from the field and Oak Hill is top notch. Jackson and Lucasville Valley probably have the two nicest all-around stadiums with a field-turf playing surface IMHO.
If I rank them:
1. Lucasville Valley
2. Jackson
3. Oak Hill
4. Rock Hill (I think the best playing surface)
5. South Point
6. Coal Grove
Have yet to visit Portsmouth.

Ihave been there once and was truely amazed it is a awesome field very nice I was very impressed . The kids and families have something to be proud of. Portsmouth has been my favorite field so far just the way eveything layed out just a great place also like being above the field not a bad seat in the house
