Looking forward to reading all of this years previews.

Here is a little help with the Portsmouth Trojans.
QB Josh Myers SR– The leading returning rusher and passer in the SEOAL (1006 rushing, 1018 painting)
RB - Angelo Jackson SR- (600 yards rushing 5.12 ypc)
RB/WR - Jonathan Royster SR- (326 yards rushing 5 TD's, 218 rec yards 2 TDs, and 3 special teams TD's
WR - Kyle Simpson SR- (27 catches 447 yards 5 rec TD's, 1 punt ret TD, and 1 int ret TD)
TE - Collin Staker – SR (9 catches 191 yards 4 rec TD's, 1 special teams TD)
OT - Casey Sanders SR- getting looks from D1 college, injury slowed early in 2009 but came back strong
OG - Brennan Howard-SR- Big strong and can move,
OG - Clay Lewis- SR- steady play
OT - Taylor Brown –SR- Solid play, started most of 2009
OL Kyle Ratcliff – JR- Played well as a sophomore last season
OL Mike Brown – SR was sidelined by an injury in 2009 but should be ready to compete for a spot in 2010
Other offensive players
WR- Wayne Evans-Jr- Solid receiver
WR- Andrew Bendolph-SR Returns from Wheelersburg, and is rumored to be playing football this fall. If Andrew plays he will be another threat for the Trojans
ATH- Mason Jordan- JR- Good athlete could play several spots for the Trojans, most likely WR and backup QB as well
G- JW Horsley – JW play well for the Trojans in spot play duty last season, should start on the D and play O at times

Defense
DE - JW Horsley Jr- Solid player that started the end of 09 after the departure of some from the team
DT - Brennen Howard- Sr- a total run stopper, but also quick enough to get after the QB on a pass
DT - Clay Lewis/Casey Sanders- Sanders has to be the front runner in this spot didn’t see much time last year due to injury. Look for Howard, Lewis and Sanders to all rotate, with possible others.
DE – Up for grabs as far as I know right now.
LB - Andrew Gulley SR- returning starter that always gives a solid performance.
LB - Trey Underwood SR- another returning starter, Trey is a big hitter that brings it every snap
LB - Lynn Collins JR/Angelo Jackson SR- Lynn gets most snaps as Angelo will be at HB, both are solid inside.
LB - Austin Porter JR/Jon Royster SR- Porter will defiantly find a spot on the D, just not sure where yet, OLB is a possibility but he could be S, or even try the DE spot. Royster to will be on the field, he can play OLB, or DB.
CB - Andrew Bendolph SR- was a lock down CB for the Trojans as a freshman, didn’t play as a sophomore and was injured in 09 while at Burg.
CB - Wayne Evans- If Wayne is playing as rumored he should be at CB
S - Josh Myers /Austin Porter This spot could see a mix of individuals in it. Myers will be out there when it counts the most.
Other Defensive players
DB- Cameron Cosby
DE- Collin Staker
DT- Mike Brown

This is a very rough idea of who will be on the field for the Trojans, but gives you a place to start. Hopefully someone else can give you a little more of the inside scoop.

The offence for the Trojans is pretty well laid out with the only big hole to fill being center.
Defense has several spots to fill, but does have a decent nucleus to work with.

The Trojans have upped the schedule some this year as well, with D2 Wilmington replacing D4 South Point, and the return of Logan in league play replacing non league foe Western Brown.

Awesome! Thanks a ton, will definitely help with the Trojans. Haven't seen them in person in a couple years, looking forward to seeing the new place in October.

This could be the most competitive year in the SEOAL in recent memory. I think Logan is still the team to beat but the margin for error is way slim now.

What I love about this Trojan team is the seniors up front.Always believed that the people up front win and lose football games and cant wait to see this group.
The slate is amazing from top to bottom.Div 2 Wilmington followed by those pesky Siders and the Burg. Then that SEOAL Middle, and then Logan and Ironton at the end of it. Hope we can stay healthy, its going to be a fight every weekend.
8-2 possible? Better? Worse?

If Portsmouth stays healthy, then I see them going 10-0.

As far as I know and from what I've heard the Trojans lineup could be like this

QB -- Josh Myers
RB -- Angelo Jackson
WR -- Kyle Simpson
WR -- Andrew Bendolph
WR/RB -- Jon Royster
TE -- Colin Staker
T -- Casey Sanders
G -- Brennan Howard
C -- Mike Brown or another OL
G -- Clay Lewis
T -- Taylor Brown or Kyle Ratliff
Kicker -- Nate Newton

Subs
WR Mason Jordan, RB Andrew Gulley, WR LJ Adams, WR Wayne Evans (if he plays), OL JW Horsley

DE -- JW Horsley
DT -- Brennan Howard
DT -- Casey Sanders or Clay Lewis or Mike Brown
DE -- Angelo Jackson
OLB -- Jon Royster
ILB -- Tre Underwood
OLB -- Andrew Gulley
CB -- Andrew Bendolph
CB -- Mason Jordan
S -- Josh Myers or Austin Porter
S -- Kyle Simpson
Punter -- Kyle Simpson

Subs
DB Wayne Evans (if he plays), DB LJ Adams, DL Colin Staker, DL Kyle Ratliff, LB Len Collins

I know Trojan FB Alum already posted his but I figured I would post mine. I do believe the new defensive scheme (4-3) will put alot of our athletes on the field. I think having Angelo at DE will provide a great rush on the end along with a ton of speed in the secondary.

On the offensive side of the ball I believe this unit is going to put up points. If the Trojans really do SPREAD the field 4 wide they have the best group of wideouts in the area. (Simpson, Bendolph, Royster, and Mason Jordan being the 4th WR in a 4 WR spread).
This group as a whole can be something special if they put in the work. The Trojans also have a lot of underclassmen and can provide good depth at alot of positions. Can't wait for the season to start!!!

Lenny has decided to focus on basketball I believe. He would have been a big asset to the team and played a lot on the defensive side of the ball.
