well looks like the eagles will face their first true test come saturday. even though I think it will be a good game i dont think the hornets can handle the eagles. eagles defense is too much and the quarterback for the eagles is to good. still should be a fun game to watch.

It was qualifying at OHiO STATE for Jr. Olympics and yes he put his heart in it and took the win...out of hundreds of kids ....SO regarding this eagles vs coalgrove game... iTs gonna be great!....got some great players on both teams but of course im gotta say Coal Grove is my pick of course lol....O and i apologize i didnt come w a cool nickname i thought only people hid behind fake names on TOPiX? ... Excited to see ya sat eagles!!!!!:)

Congrats to your son on his win at ohio state. but its not going to help him on the football field. Eagles have to much experience and to good of a TEAM defense , my guess is that CG wont score

My guess is that there won't be a play for positive yards until the second team gets in...I figure that it will probably be the eagles by as much as they want it...

Eagles B won over Rock Hill 28-0
CG B won over SV 42-6 I think I can't really remember.
Bills B beat OH
Eagles A lost to RH 14-0
Bills A beat SV 26-6
CG A beat SV 28-6

I may be off on a few, but those scores are pretty close I think.

Can't wait for the Eagles - CG matchup, going to be fun for sure.

The Eagles B team probably has the best line in the league on both sides of the ball. Unless they have a very off game I dont see a whole lot of teams coming close to them this year. They get my vote to repeat as champs.

Dear waterboy, surely your not a adult talking down regarding another child and his capabilities on the field??.... Id hope that this is a juvenile teenger of some sort bc surely a adult wouldnt talk down tht way on a website involving kids . That being said all i ask is tht mine plays hard and respects others on the field in this upcoming game that involves 2 great teams...best of luck to urs waterboy and ours!:). .. Ps i will also teach him not to ever run his mouth and hide behind a screen name... Just sayn

mrs large sorry i upset you, but my comments was not directed at your son but at the posts which i assume is adults. someone posted that a kid i assume yours won a track event, thanks for clearing up what that was, and congrats to your son on a very rare accomplishment, my point to the POSTER was track doesnt help you in football. My opinion to another adult. I wish your son all the best and if he is for real and beats the eagles, then I will be the first to eat crow and say how great of a football player he is,, but my point was i just dont see anyone beating the eagles,, sorry you took my points the wrong way or sorry for not being clear enough. should be the best game of the year. and my names not waterboy , just sayn

As I promised, im eating crow. Great game by both teams but today belonged to the hornets, track kids mom your son done well, scored a touchdown but was called back and i have no idea what the call was. but even though the play was called back, i got to see his speed and there wasnt a kid on the field even close. Eagles done a great job on defense holding this team to only 8pts as they have several runners and the eagle D contained them well. If they meet again in the playoffs, I think the eagles will win. but today belonged to the hornets.

Just want to make one statement about yesterday's game against the b team eagles..Whatever the situation is between the 2 teams parents should show better sportsmanship. The Hornet B team cheerleaders went on the eagles side to do their hello cheer and were booed by the parents when they were finished. I think that is horrible and what are you teaching your children. Remember they are just children and they work very hard. By the way, hope everyone seen the score at the end and the hornets did score against the Eagles and even took the win!!! Great Job Hornets!!!

There are other teams besides the Ironton Eagles and Coal Grove Hornets. Are the scores not making it to the secretary? I know she will post them or always has in the past.

Let me have a look at the scores from Saturday first. Looks like there was at least one upset.
I guess I am more surprised about the B game than the A, but I don't know the scores of either of the Bills games or any of them for that matter.

However..one busted play by the grove sealed the deal with making the two points..eagles won at every aspect of the game except the score..The run that was called back was over illegal formation...although there was a huge clip on the play...it was coal groves day..however..I would be shocked if cg comes within four touchdowns of them next meeting...

does losing that game really bother u that bad. Its a loss it happens to everyone. Just remember look back will get you nowhere. Its also a little league game. Get over it.
