1. Piketon is a very good football team and should be the favorite to win the SVC.
2. Piketon has a lot of very good football players strong and fast..
3. Piketon has good balance to be able to throw or run with their talent.
4. If they continue to play as they did Friday they could make a run at the playoffs
5. A lot of Senior's that could give the push they needed for the playoffs
Waverly
1. Very young, but play very hard.
2. If they continue to give that type of effort as they did Friday, by season's end they could be a nice football team.
3. I like this Waverly Team, saw lots of emotion and honest love of the game from them.
4. Enjoyed the way the coaching staff kept players upbeat and positive in good and bad situations.
5. Could be sleeper team next year.

should be the favorite to win the SVC... you have to be joking

I love the Streaks, but winning the SVC is probably a stretch. We had a hard time putting away a very mediocre Waverly team. I would think 3rd would be a strong finish.

pike needs to learn how to hydrate themselves they had like 10 or 15 cramps also they need to learn how to dfend the pass. if i was waverly coach i would have ran the wheel route all night piketon didnt know what to do. the qb from waverly made a couple of bad throws but other than that waverly looked real good but needs to learn how to tackle

Congratulations to Coach Gullion and the Piketon Redstreaks. I must say the execution in this game was much better than I anticipated. I thought Piketon had very good depth in the backfield. Waddell runs hard, and is tough to tackle. The fullbacks also do a great job of getting downhill in a hurry, and made some great blocks on the edge to get Waddell going. I thought Piketon won the battle at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. They've done this in the past, and have been beaten, but Friday night they finally got to cash that paycheck. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised by the line play of Waverly. Did they make mistakes and miss assignments...sure they did...but, it was better than I expected. I think if we continue to work (especially in blocking A gap) hard, I think this team can get better. Kelly did a nice job with some heat in his face...I thought for his first game he made very good decisions. I also hope Levi is healthy, b/c that kid is a game changer. With Wellston beating Jackson for the first time in a long time, I would have to think this team has every right to believe they can be in the football game this Friday night.
