Wilmington is too much for Portsmouth.
Do you say this because you know something about Wilmington or just a Trojan hater?
No I say that cause I think Wilmington will win. No reasoning behind it.
I don't hate any local school.
I like to see success by locals, Only negative for Portsmouth is their HC. I think he makes bad decisions that lead to bad losses.
I think this is one of those cases.

But good luck Trojans!
how do you feel about burg coaches decision last night, when burg was running the ball down Irontons throat, and then elected to go to the bag of tricks and throw a half back pass?...at the time they ran the ball into Irontons side of the field ,then stalled after that.

or on the kick off , when the coaches was screaming for the returner to go down,,,,even though he had a solid wall of blockers in front of him?

I hated it! Why abandon what was working? But we never know why they do things that they do.

I guess its easy to coach from the stands.

I'm sitting here at Trojan Colloseum and let me just say I am amazed at what a great facility this is! You Trojans should be proud!

Portsmouth needs to come out and throw the ball the second half if they are going to win.

Score is 7-7 at the half

Portsmouth has some nice athletes. They have a good QB and some nice receivers. They aren't very physical up front and they run horizontal a lot. They were very poor at tackling tonight, but Underwood is a ball hawk on D. I can see them going 5-5 or 6-4 this year. Can't see em beating West or Burg in the coming weeks though unless they improve a bunch.

You are right on. Portsmouth doesnt run downhill out of the backfield. I cant believe they didnt throw the ball around more than they did. I dont see them getting past West or Burg. And if #30 is Underwood, he is a stud at LB.

I will take one game at a time,as im sure the team will to..but this was a very good team we played tonight, yeah they lost some kids to graduation, but they still had 17 or so seniors on the team, with some good atheletes....
I,ll let you know how I really fel about this team after week 2 and 3...say what you want, but I feel very confident.....we are capable of beating any of the teams on our schedule.

thats my opinion though...what do I know

I know all about being a Loyal fan, But in reality I just can't see Portsmouth Beating West or Burg. I was at the Game tonight and I have to say Portsmouth Looked a Little weaker than Fairland to me. To many mistakes that a team like West will take quick advantage of. I hope all you Ports. fans don't think your playing the same West team you played last year.
Bigger,Stronger,Quicker,Deeper and much more Experienced!!!!!!!!!!!!
I noticed several players their tonight and they are even more Hungry for a Win than ever!!!!!!!!

I'm not 100% sure but, it seemed the Trojan offense was holding back all night. I honestly see them going over to West next week and throwing much more and I think that game will be a shootout. Portsmouth must tackle better.

The quality of opponent the Trojans faced is not even close to the Fairland team West faced. Portsmouth played a good D2 school tonight and beat them that's all that counts. Say what you want the fact of the matter is they will get big points down the road for this win. Should be a great game next week I will let all of you folks from West talk about how bad you will beat the Trojans. We'll let everything play out and see what happens from there.
