Congrats Spartans on the win. You came back in the second half and showed that you could play to win. Here's wishing for a fast recovery to senior Cody Lawson. Enjoy the win, and get ready for next week's game.

Eagledad - I don't have to explain myself to you, and if you don't like what I post, don't read it. I didn't like the officiating for either team, and if you know that crew, you know EXACTLY who I am talking about.

I watched the game from both sidelines, and I heard alot of beoching out of both sets of stands. The more uninformed screaming and complaining about the officiating crew came from the visitors stands. That was where I heard the name calling of the officials as well. So, if you want to take issue with anyone, you might want to start with some of your own fans.

I didn't yell at the officials last night, nor do I. My comments were directed at the quality of the calls, and the gross inconsistencies that not only I observed, but a large contingent of fans from both teams saw, and got upset about.

Good luck to your eagles the rest of the year, you will win some games on your schedule. Oh, and you might want to listen to 86 and calm down. ;-)

Tough loss for the Eagles. Looked like they had a great chance to win, and were starting to take control of the game. When Pratt was injured the Eagles weren't able to regroup.

The officiating was poor, and inconsistent. No pass interference on the first play of game?...come on! A Spartan player made an amazing catch on the Eastern sideline, and they called it incomplete. There were a lot of late hits that weren't called. I don't know any of the officials, but from what I saw, Steely was spot on as far as his observation of the inconistency of calls.

STEELY: I don't think eagledad is an Eastern Eagle dad......looks like one of them other eagles to me...maybe a golden one.

Thoughts and prayers to Cody Lawson and his family. I was told his arm injury was very horrific. Don't know if he was lost for the season or not, but it didn't sound good. Hopefully Pratt can recover for Eastern quickly too.

What a weapon Alexander's kicker is!

Eagles need to regroup and keep working on getting better!

GO EAGLES!

Screaming Eagle: Classy post, as usual. I was at the game, and agree with you and SteelyDan. Enough said.

Eastern will win games this year, and will surprise some opponents. I see the team regrouping and being very competitive for a winning season. Good luck the rest of the way.

The Lawson injury was an elbow injury; the ambulance crew was on the field for a long time. We all wish for a full recovery for this fine young man and gifted athlete.

Some kind of shoulder injury, he had a few problems with it last year. Hopefully its nothing too serious because Eastern looked pretty good with Pratt on the field. You can't expect Cook (Freshman) to step in week 1 like that and expect to put up a good performance.

Pratt had a shoulder issue, not sure how serious yet.

I was told the Lawson injury was a compound fracture...very serious obviously.

You're right LEROY.... Eastern should be able to regroup and have a winning season.

Alex should be fine as well. Any time you lose a player the caliber of Lawson, there will be hurdles to climb. But Alexander is not the Alexander of old....they are building a very nice program, and are really starting to look like a D IV football team. They have been steadily improving over the past couple of years, and I expect it to continue...

Best of luck to both teams the rest of the season......get healthy soon!

GO EAGLES!

As soon as someone tallies them up...
What were the team totals for the game...
Passing Yards for both squads & rushing yards for both squads...

Thanks, Q

I thought for sure that superdick had us on our way to a 10-0 season but I will gladly take 9-1. Go eagles...

One of the players told me he's supposed to be out 4 to 5 weeks. i think they'll do just fine anyways though.
