They are peobably the usual Big Walnut team. 2 or 3 D1 players and maybe a Big Ten commit or two. They will certainly be a big test for the Cavs this week.

if the cavs can learn to tackle right and not let the reciver slip away, this could be a good one.would love to see the cavs win this one.

Chillicothes defense non existant Safties made 70 % of the tackles DB s beat deep. Tackling was horrific. DE s beat around edge time after time Offensive line is very very weak and small Skilled players are decent ( Oates Whittaker Corcoran ) For a senior laden team ( count the number of seniors starting ) they were beaten badly by a not very good Hammy team Can only imagine what Big Walnut will do Did hear Hinton on radio this afternoon saying he wants Big Walnut off schedule already Good thing Brookhaven already gone

Oates can be one of the best backs in the area if Chillicothe gets things going

Big Walnut's back ups get plenty time, Chillicothe football program STILL very poor, no matter who the coach is!

Wow! Football Program STILL very poor? If I remember right right before I left last night's JV contest the Cavs were up(don't know the outcome)! Last week the Varsity did lose, but the JV beat Hammy and beat em bad....if the program is STILL very poor why did the 7th and 8th grade teams just whoop Logan this past week? If you haven't been around the "Program" then you really don't know! Come back in a year or two and I guarantee you'll be eating crow because the "Program" you call very poor will be dominate! Go Cavs!

Program "still" very poor? Hmmmm let me see here, just 2 years ago chillicothe was in the second round of the playoffs, 2 years before that they were in the playoffs, over the course of six years I am not sure making the playoffs every other year is a "very poor" program. Are they a perinnial power? Not since the 80's, but I think a vast majority of football programs in Ohio would like to go to the playoffs every other year.

This year is still young, do not give up on Chllicothe just yet. Remember the second round playoff team started off 1-2 before rattling off 6 straight wins.

As for last Friday, I happened to be at Township and that team is legit. They are as athletic as most Brookhaven teams Chillicothe has faced in the past. TB is legit, FL is legit, QB is legit, Wr is legit, and they are bigger and stronger than any recent HT team I have seen. Chillicothe did not quit, and if that punt return wasn't called back I believe Chillicothe would have pulled that game out.

ht might have been a good team, but to compare them to brookhaven team is nuts. Absolutely wrong on that one. We thought we had fast teams at chilli, but brookhavens lineman were as fast as our skill kids. I doubt ht will put even one player in a d1 school let alone several from the same class in the big ten

Were there? opinions are like you know whats, everyone has one! I played against Brookhaven several times personally and witnessed this years HT team on Friday. I think I fully understand the comparison I made.

I agree with both wrestle and buck! I too was at last week's game and Hammy is way better than people think and will do good this year in their conference..to compare them to the Brookhaven teams that you guys faced though, wow,i don't know, because they were REALLY GOOD! To call the "Program" very poor just because they had 1 bad year is nutz to say the least! Like i said though as time goes these Cavaliers will become a team of the S.E. it might take a little time but it's coming! A rocket scientist could see that not even being around the "Program" except for the small group of haters! Go Cavs!

Yeah bv Chillicothe will always have haters within their own ranks, always have always will. With friends like that Chilly does not need enemies for sure, but I still believe that tailback and flanker were as good as the kid from the Haven that put 265 yds. on the playoff team 2 years ago: speed, quickness, power(just ask Corcoran, Oates, and Beverly) overwhelmed the Cavalier defense Friday. The Haven hasn't had a QB like Townships since their current head coach,AT, graduated in 1987.

Big Walnut is real, real good year in and year out, but this is the first time in several years they struggle to beat WC opening week. They will be a tough out for Chillicothe, but if the Cavaliers fight for 48 minutes as hard as they did in the second half last week the Golden Eagles could get their wings clipped. GOOD LUCK!! ROOT 'EM ON!!
