Wellston will need way more than a chip on there shoulder to go down to Gallipolis and beat the Blue Devils. The score dont matter even if its close Gallia is going to get the win.

The blue Devils have played in the big games and pull them off and will do so at there stadium, Wellston dont have that tradition.

Wellston needs to get ready for week 5 when they travel to Fairland, that will be there next win. :122249

Ontheriver, if I'm correct gallia went 2-8 last year. No disrespect, but if they know how to win the big game, what happened last year. Maybe past gallia teams, but this gallia team has yet to do so.

I get so sick of hearing about "tradition". See how many games that wins you with the kids of HERE and NOW. LOL

A lot of people care about this game and as for tradition well let people think what they want about it! I have to agree with what Caulker10 maybe past teams but not this team new year, new players as the same for the Rockets! If the field stays dry tomorrow night, we're going to see a game come down to a big play on either defence or offence this won't be no track meet or barn burner, more like hard nose smashmouth like back in the "good ole days". Rockets 16, Gallia Acedemy 10

Wellston beats Jackson for the first time in 20 years, and now all of southeastern Ohio has to be subjected to their delusional fans.

I stand by my prediction. Gallia Academy takes this game by two or three touchdowns.

Different people have different opinions of what tradition is. Tradition gets built over years. It permeates the air in a community to the degree that you have most of your 6-10 year olds that can't wait till they are old enough to put on the school colors. In a match up of two good teams, one with a long history of tradition and the other not so, the not so team hopes they will win and the tradition team expects to win.

Gonna be a dandy IMO. Both teams better strap up them chin straps and be ready to get hit. Gl rockets bring home the W. Now its game day and the smack talk will be over lets just hope for a good injury free game.

gahs4ever wrote:I agree pappy, but I'm thinking the Wellston fans on here are saying that these current teams have nothing to do with the 45-15-2 advantage GAHS has over Wellston in history anymore than Jackson had beaten Wellston 19 in a row before this year.

This is why I've been saying non-stop that that is why the game will be won or lost on the field and not the internet, and the people who have been doing all the talking wont gain a single yard tonight or make even one tackle.
Some of them will not even see a yard gained or see one tackle made.

I got the chance to see Gallia play last week and not only did the dominate the O and D line, they made PLAYS during the whole game. Though I have not seen Wellston play yet. They better be ready like the Miami Hurricanes going into Ohio Stadium, because they are going to be in a place that is nothing like they are used to seeing (Students Section) in the TVC.

As far as what people have been saying about the TVC and SEOAL... look at it this way. The SEOAL is like the BIG TEN and the TVC is like the MAC.... You get a chance to play up in the level of competition and every so often MAC/TVC comes out with a win; like last week vs. Jackson. Hopefully the Gallia vs. Wellston game is not on of those cases.

I'm taking GALLIA in a close one, but it all comes down to who controls the LINE OF SCRIMMAGE
