ok guys, southern wins tonight 21-14, but let me tell you, southern aint the team you all said they was, this is prob. the worst year fed hock has ever had, i really hate to say it, but im gonna, its bad, southern should be twice the team they are now, they aint good by no means, lot of problems they need to fix, they did get the win tonight, but it was ugly. congrats on the win players, i hope the best for you guys the rest of the season, but there is alot of little things you all need to fix. just hang in there and stick too it.

As many young players as Southern has I think most people didn't think they would win a game at the start of the season and they have already won two so I think they are doing pretty well.

I agree. Southern basically replaced every starter from last year, and has a new coach. I didn't expect them to win many games if any. I haven't seen them play yet, but they are 2-2 now so they must be doing something right.

I was down there by the PT Looser, trying to figure out why there are VIRGINIA license plates on the Frogmobile. I thought that I was thrown into an episode of the "Twilight Zone", and was too frightened to go up to the booth and see what awaited me!!! LOL!

You guys would have never let me have a headset and microphone, let's be honest!!!!

Once again, I can't say it enough, what you guys do as a service to these small communities is invaluable, there is no way to access a pricetag on the value of it. That being said, a couple of comments.......(of course!)

Southern Band - Great to see your numbers increasing, and a nice job with the pregame and halftime. I really enjoyed it. As a former musician, I really appreciate the hard work that goes into what you do! You did a great job last night...... I hope that your numbers keep increasing, as I can tell, you've got a band director that really cares about you kids and the music......

Secondly, who was the public announcer last night? Whoever you are, great job!!!! That is one of the best jobs that I've heard at a HS game in I can't tell you how long. And don't tell me it was Rick Ash, LOL! Kudos, to your PA last night!

As always, SD enjoyed his trip to beautiful downtown Racine. The hospitality is always great, and it is always amusing to watch the Racine cops try to keep the restless natives contained over there in the home stands!

Dr. Donald Dudding, an English teacher at Southern, was the PA announcer (not Rod Serling).
I agree, he does a great job as does the Southern band which is under the direction of Mr. Chad Dodson.

I did have a headset ready. I just wasn't going to plug it in. LOL

Thanks buddy! Dr. Dudding did a fantastic job. With a little work, he may be able to pick up some Rod Serling work. He'd be much better than that yahoo imitating Robert Stack on the GIECO commercials!

Now, as for the headset and not being plugged in, well, that wouldn't be the first time!!! LOL! Keep up the good work guys!

say what you want about the lancers being down this year. playing 5 to 8 fresh/soph in your lineup will cause u to have some mistakes. that said, they have inproved in every game and with a couple of catches the southern game might have went there way. there kids are learning to play hard till the last play.
