Re: Athens (0-3) @ Chillicothe (0-3)
Bulldogs bounce back and win by 14. Athens is a very good 0-3 football team.
Re: Athens (0-3) @ Chillicothe (0-3)
Chillicothe didn't really play that bad a game against Ironton.
Chillicothe will pull out a narrow victory

I'll be pulling for Chillicothe in this one but I think Athens gets their first win (hope I'm wrong).noreply66 wrote:Chillicothe didn't really play that bad a game against Ironton.

Chillicothe had 33 rushes for 88 yards and 2-9 passing for 46 yards of which 42 yards was on a fake punt against Ironton. They'll need more Offense than that against Athens if they are going to win.
Re: Athens (0-3) @ Chillicothe (0-3)
The D Against Ironton will be good enough to hold the Bulldogs and Chillicothe is due on the O.
If Athens wins this game easy that makes Ironton look not so tough

I think the Dogs have finally got things working. The O and D lines look good. Athens win by 14

Who knows? I'm at a total loss here. Athens looks to have righted the ship and Chilli played Ironton fairly tough so put 'em in a sack shake 'em up and see what comes out.

I vote this game as this weeks hardest SEOAL matchup to pick a winner in.

You can't really look at history when this isn't the same Chilli team that Athens has faced in years past and this isn't the same Athens team that Chilli has faced in years past.buckeyebuddy wrote:Athens will be blown out. Re: Athens (0-3) @ Chillicothe (0-3)
Athens may well be the best 0-3 team in southern OH. My question will be which 0-3 team decides to salvage a season or pack it in already. This is not the same historical matchup of Athens and Chilli. Chilli has a recnt history of packing it in before the season is over as well.
Now with that said, it is nice to be able to get film sent from southern OH these days, Ironton dominated statistically but did not dominate the game. I saw 4 Tigers leave the game with what are probably minor injuries but and only 1 returned. Chilli did not have a player leave the field with injury. Ironton quite possibly could have lost that game had the CAVS not fumbled on the 1 yard line (not forced either, just dropped a pitch). It would have been 16-10 at that point and Chilli would have had all kind of momentum. I am not saying Chilli would have won for sure, but it would have interesting.
Knowing all that, I believe the winner of Athens@Chilli will be the team that has not already given up on the season at 0-3. Remember, both teams are still undefeated in their respective leagues.

Re: Athens (0-3) @ Chillicothe (0-3)
Wasn.t the same team year after year back then either. No disrespect but the TVC is not anywhere close to the SEOAL. Chillicothe by 20 plus.
Athens 2010
8/27 H Gallia Academy (3-0) [3:12] L 21-36
9/3 A Dawson-Bryant (2-1) [5:19] L 13-18
9/10 H Warren (3-0) [2:7] L 28-34 ot
Chillicothe 2010
8/27 A Hamilton Township (2-1) [2:7] L 30-55
9/3 A Big Walnut (3-0) [2:7] L 7-28
9/10 H Ironton (3-0) [4:15] L 6-24
Athens and Chillicothes opponents both 8-1
Athens scored 63 points Chillicothe 43
Athens given up 84 points Chillicothe 107
Here is difference
Big Walnut would beat Gallia
Hamilton Township would beat Dawson Bryant
Ironton always beat Warren
Chillicothes opponents are just better than Athens. Game at Chilli. Chilli by 20 plus.
