I would agree with my buddy, but Chilli still has to produce more offense with some sort of confidence and consistency. Confidence may be the key word here :?

Even if Athens loses, they will not pack it in. Still 6 games and a league championship to compete for.

I have to agree, Chilly has had some decent showings against some very good teams. Chilly just really confuses me in general I can't quite get a read on them. Hamilton Township is not good at all and Chilly gave up 50+ points to them. Then they have decent defensive showings against BW and Ironton??? Who knows what the outcome of this game will be. I'm leaning towards Athens by a score but Chilly is very capable of winning this game. Whoever said this will be a blowout either way is way off, these teams are evenly matched.

Easy on the HT not being very good! :( I warned everyone in southern OH that they were a much better team than in years past. The tailback that some posters disagreed with me about being as good as anything Chilly has seen recently, including from the Haven, has 772 yards in 3 games. Chillicothe's competition has been much better than what Athens has played. That does not mean Chilli wins easily or at all. It seems to me that Chilli needs to prove to themselves that they can win a game, 0 for their last 12.

 I still say Chilli, if they put it all together they could treat the Bulldogs the way Tressel's boys are going to treat the Bobcats

Throw out whatever League each team is in, because that 'Title' does not play the game...

The Athens Bulldogs will go into Chillicothe to play the Cavaliers Friday Night! That is something guaranteed...

Predicting games on here is really only a 50/50 shot because anything can happen on the football field. If Athens can put together an entire game, they can win the game. If Chillicothe can put together an entire game, they can win the game...

One thing I can tell you, is that the Athens players are fired up. They are mad at themselves because they allowed one to slip through their hands last week versus a good Warren team. The frustration and pain that I saw in their eyes is a good indicator that these boys really care about their football, which is something many teams can lose after tough losses.

I feel Athens will win this game...
However, that is why they play the game...

Good Luck to All Teams...

I'm picking Athens in this one but rooting for the SEOAL and Chillicothe. Will be anxious to see how this one turns out.

Athens played the best game they will play all year last week even if they pull this weeks game out.

Chillicothe has a lot of speed on the D and it will show against the Bulldogs

I think they can get better. They still have more in them. They are finally starting to gel on both lines. That being said there pass D is really bad. It was bad before they played Warren and it will be bad all season. There DB's just arent that great. I figure they will go 4-1 in league play and win this friday so they are looking like a 5-5 team. At least they upgraded there schedule and hopefully they will continue to do so.

The play calling has to get better. I don't know what the deal is but it just doesn't seem like the coaching staff can game plan real well.

With that being said the Dogs win a close one.

Do not through the Athens Secondary under the bus...
Against a very potent Passing Attack (Warren) the secondary played quite well givin their circumstances...

One major issue for Athens to work on is the Pass Rush...
The Warriors QB could nearly stand relaxed in the pocket last week without fear as Athens was not able to put the pressure on him, this lead to big plays in the passing game. You can only ask your secondary to cover for so long before it turns into a backyard ball game...I don't care how good your coverage is, if the QB has over 6-7 seconds to find an open receiver, 9 out of 10 times they will find them...

For Athens, they got their Rushing Attack finally moving while also finally making the other teams Offense into making some mistakes of their own which lead to some turnovers.

With their O & D Lines finally starting to mesh a bit, and getting Harris throwing on the move, this Athens team can and will be putting up some big numbers on the scoreboard real soon...

Controled rage and anger, whoever decides to play with controled rage and anger will win this contest. Even though I still believe he is a murderer, Ray Lewis again gave a great example of that last night. If either team decides to play that way they would be going a long way to ending an 0-3 start.

This is 2010. If Chilli wins, it will have nothing to do with 2006-2007. Ignorant statement buckeye buddy.

The only problem with this is that Athens was really bad then and Chilli was pretty good. Now they both aren't that great.
edge goes to Athens!
