... unbelievable pics ... prayers going out from the Land of the Purple to our good friends in Athens Co. especially , Nelsonville/the Plains area ... can not believe the damage done at AHS ... shocked at the damage ... ALL of you folks will be in our thoughts and prayers as this will take time to get people, the AHS school, the entire area back on its feet ... please keep us informed as to the needs of those effected so we all know where we may be able to help ...

It is unbelievable to stand at the top of the hill over looking Athens R. Basil Rutter Field, a field that I played over 15 years of Football on, a field with so many memories for myself, my family and many many of my friends, to see it just ripped a part....our bleachers, our press box, our goal post, our lights...destroyed, and even our bell tower...

However, in all this mother nature madness it is the families and their homes that should be the major focus. Hopefully we can all look back on this day as a day that we lost 'Things' in the tornado, and just that...we can rebuild our homes, we can rebuild our athletic facilities, but we cannot replace our families and friends...

From The Plains, Ohio we appreciate all the love and support of the area families, friends and schools...and we will get through this...Battle to the End Athens...Battle to the End!
