Breakaways for TDs.... Very true .. And from what I'm reading from Caglewis, Ironton hands down deserved this game. From this Ashland Tomcat fan.. Congrats and hope for a very successful future!

can you say pass defense this year?
I Know I Know it only 1 game but that pass D really look good, rushing only 3 most of the time and still getting good pressure on the qb. still have a big schedule to complete so its just 1 game at a time.................(to be continued)..................

I told ya the game would be won in the trenches, Irontons bid D line pressuring the qb into mistakes and Irontons massive O line pushing Ashland off the ball and allowing those breakaway runs! Wilkes for player of the week maybe, Irontons big meat eaters on both sides of the ball: ABSOLUTELY!!!!

Awesome game by the Tigers. Wilkes is definitely player of the week. What was it, 6 TDs for him? Anyone have stats for the Tigers yet?

great job by the coaching staff at ironton in coming up with a defense to shut down the ashland attack. it looked like ashland was completely confused all night. you can say what you want about the penaltys, but they were good calls. ashland shot themselves in the foot with obvious holding calls and unsportsman like penaltys. its pretty bad when a kid gets a personal foul and is kicked out of the game and then as he goes off he gets a high five from one of the asst. coaches. ashland is a good team i am sure they will regroup and be very successful this season and i wish them good luck. i hope they go all the way. tonite was just not their night. ironton played great. if we can keep people healthy and continue to improve like we have from week 1 to tonite, we will be tough to handle come week 11. bob lutz is just a genius, cant say enough about the defense tonite, and tres wilks had huge game.

Congratulations, this is the most ignorant post I've ever seen on SEOP. If you are "right down the middle and an Ironton graduate" as you put it, I'm the next freakin' Pope.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------THAT IS ABSURD, PERSONAL FOULS PLAQUED THE TOMCATS, THEY WERE NEARLY ALL 15 YARDERS OUT OF SHEER FRUSTRATION. BUT IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER, GO FOR IT. YES THE TRUTH IS THE TRUTH, AND YOU OBVIOUSLY WERE NOT AT THE GAME. ALL NIGHT ASHLAND COULD BARELY PUNT FAR ENOUGH TO EVEN REACH THE FIRST DOWN MARKERS, BUT THEY MUST HAVE LOST 120 YARDS IN SACKS. ANYWAY YER FUNNY.

LMAO! I watched Ashland take a physical beatdown tonight. They were demoralized and commited the penalties out of frustration and being totally out played. You embarass me, an Ironton graduate, and all other Ironton fans by posting this nonsense. That said....hellava game TIGERS!

No, Ashland isn't that bad, and yes we were that good tonight; and hopefully even better as the season progresses.

Anyone going to record this game? i'd love to have a copy of it..I really don't get to see them, you know? Still hoping someone will step up and offer to do video for Ironton Football Dot Com. A lot of people, even guys who are in the military and living all around the world would love to be able to watch these games or at least clips of them.
