UpOnTheHill......I actually had 541 rushing yards for Hale. For some reason, probably getting in a hurry, I typed in 441. I also added up the carries wrong and I actually have 80 carries not 84. Part of the reason I went into journalism, less math involved LOL. I was a C math student, B- at best.

So with the corrected numbers we are almost exact. My apologies. I'm running correction in Sunday's paper with the corrected numbers.

Thanks for pointing those out.

If Minford can control the line of scrimmage and contain Hale, they win.

I have to agree with what the JUNKIE has said. But, the only thing is, I think that is the only way the Falcons can win. Hale is very strong, and keeps coming at you, you have to stop him, and put pressure on Slone. It all is going to start with our D-fensive line.
And our O-line must be able to give #5 time to hand off the ball, as well as throw the ball. We can't let the D-fense penetrate into our backfield, the way Wellston was able to.

On paper, and after last year, Oak Hill is probably the favored. I don't care what the polls say. But I think this Falcon team has more heart, and have more to gain, than the Oak's. Minford is just starting the tough part of the season. And the Oak's should have smooth sailing the rest of the season. I don't think SV will give them any trouble. And I think it's going to come down to Who Wants It More, it always does. Both teams are going to make mistakes, and have bad plays. But which team is going to overcome, and press forward, and make the big plays they need to win.

Get Up Falcons, and let the team here YOU!!!!!

We went up against one team in scrimmage that has a BIG and PHYSICAL line. We were much quicker and meaner and our backs ran all over the place.

It will be a team effort that starts with the line right to our linebackers. They all need to make plays, not miss tackles and keep everything in front of them. Hale is a good back and he will get his yards. He cant beat us alone.

I remember a big bruising back last year that ran for over 150 yds a game that was getting hit when he was trying to get handoffs last year when they played Minford. Ended up with 50 yds on the night ;-)

I think out D coaches will have the boys in good shape tonight to stop the Oaks running game.

I, as a true Falcon fan, am dissappointed to hear the news about OH QB Slone, The ramifications aren't just about this game, I heard that there were going to be Big Ten scouts there tonight, and I dont want to see him miss an opportunity to play in front of them, and then you have to worry about the rest of the season. Good Luck and a speedy recovery to this young man.

Honestly, I am just glad that there are some really strong teams in SEO this year that have legitimate chances make deep playoff runs. There are some really interesting match-ups this week, and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a re-match in the playoffs..... nice retort though :-D :-D :-D

I agree 100% and I am also a Falcon Fan. Having said that , this Oak Hill team is still very dangerous and very capable of winning this game. Westen Hale is a great player and I expect him to have a great game. Hale is also a great young man.

I am sorry also for hearing about the injury to Slone, he's a fine athlete, but the Oaks still have alot of weapons and our Falcons must be on their toes and limit silly mistakes.
Go Minford Falcons

With all the nicey nicey out of the way, and the truth felt remorse for Slone, I still feel this way about this game.....you Falcons know what Im talkin about

There is only one tactical principal which is not subject to change, it is to use the means at hand to inflict the mass amount of wounds ,pain, and destruction on the enemy in the minimal amount of time

My bet is that Slone plays for Oak Hill.

I am sure the defense is ready for the Oaks....with or without Slone.

I really dont think it matters at this point.

From what I hear the backup QB could easily be a starter if he wasn't inline behind a D1 prospect. I hope this doesn't pan out to be like a movie script where the backup comes in and saves the day! :122246

Regardless of the QB (which is just one position on the field) Oak Hill is as solid as it gets for a football team. The Falcons will have their hands full if they don't come out early and set the tone!
