Week 5: Meigs (2-2) vs. Southern (2-2)

I spoke to Wick the other night and we are sick and tired of all the "Meigs is wonderful" propaganda. He said he is gonna make sure that we beat the "Mud Daubers" as bad as we possibly can. And, no free food after the game.... The boys at the Barber Shop will be dancing a jig when this one is over.

I may be wrong, but I feel this game will be closer than many think. Southern couldn't have picked a better year to play Meigs. Bottom line is Meigs is just down this year, there's nowhere near the talent or size on the roster as what theres been in the last 15 years or so. New QB, new RB, new Receivers, small line ect. Plus Southern will be playing with high emotions with nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Very true and well stated, I look for pup wickline to have the boys all pumped up and ready to
go. This game will come down on who makes the lease mistakes. The Numbers could play a big part I unterstand that Southern is down a little. That could make a difference in the second Half......

Common sense tells me Meigs will win this one, although I hope to see Southern at least make it interesting. I hope nobody gets hurt.
By the way I would like to see Meigs and Ravenswood play each other, geographically it makes sense, call it the 33 Corridor Clash or some such.

This game is all about the money. My son plays for Southern and if we score more than 2 TD's Meigs whole staff needs fired. The size of the teams and divisions alone should be reason alone not to play. Whats stupid out of Meigs is if they went undefeated this year or next they more than likely wouldn't make the playoffs because were D6. Good job AD's (NOT).

Way to support your sons team purple gold!!! It's your sons school the money is going towards! And to say Southern shouldn't even be able to score 2 or more TD's? Maybe you should transfer to a different district then. Have a little faith & support for your team! It's about County rivialry & getting together for a good football game & not having to travel 2 hrs just to play a football game when we have a team in our back yard we can play. Both teams aren't the best & it should make for an interesting game. I think it will be close & anything could happen. Good luck Southern!!!

Meigs came down to Fairland and picked up a tough win against a Fairland team that could go 5-5 this year. They also anihilated a terrible RV squad that Fed Hock got trounced by... And Southern barely beat Fed Hock. Meigs has gotten spanked by a couple of teams that will likely be in the playoffs. No shame in that given all the talent they lost. They still have enough talent to beat OVC teams and certainly enough to dispatch lower-tier Hocking teams.

Apparently everyone is at the game and unable to post score updates LOL. I'm out of radio signal range for the game and still can't hear it on the internet. Not sure what's going on with that.
