Wow ... Very nice win ... its been a pretty brutal schedule for the 'Dogs thus far - but with two straight wins heading into TVC-Ohio play - there is lots to be excited about with this team.

Great win for the Bulldogs tonight! They were in control the whole game - this team has a lot of heart. Great to see so many folks come out to support AHS after everything that has happened. Terrific atmosphere at Peden. Much thanks to OU for their generous use of the stadium and all the facilities that go with it. I'm proud of our team and our community tonight. Come out and support soccer tomorrow in their game against Dublin Scioto. JV is at 2:00, varsity 4:00. Way to go, Bulldogs!

The Bulldog faithful outnumbered the Patriot faitful 3-1. Great turnout and stayed thru the pouring down rain. The Bulldogs controlled this contest. Defense was terrific. Once P South got behind they got out of their comfort zone (Wing T). We had them outnumbered all night when we were on defense. Ground game terrific. Keep up the good work, I dont think many thought this would turn out this way. League play starts next week and if we keep improving, we could find ourselves in the mix.

Sounds like CG got Athens just before they caught fire! Congrats on a very impressive win last night men!

Great effort by Athens. They won in every categorie of the game. I was impressed on how aggressive they were. South has several bugs to work out.

If this Bulldog team were an 8-cylinder vehicle I would say they started off the year running on 2, then they hit 4. Now they are running on about 6. If they can get all 8 cylinders running it could get pretty exciting down the stretch.
Another great win for the young men and their coaching staff. Good work.

The big difference is that the line play has improved with great strides the last few weeks. The defense is finally clicking and, if we could just eliminate some mental errors and unnecessary penalties i.e. late hits, blocks in the back, etc. this team may just be able to find all 8 cylinders.

By the way, this game would have ended at 22-0 had an interception by Skylar Schwarzel not been called a TD. Skylar and a Patriot receiver went up together on a jump ball in the back of the end zone and Skylar made a heck of a play to come down with possession. Watched it a couple times, even in slow motion on Time Warner's monitors. Every time there is no question Skylar made that INT. Oh well, that's the way it goes sometimes.
I agree with you A-town on the penalties. Even though there were a few very frustrating calls, the young men have to maintain composure and take out their frustrations within the rules of the game.
I'm sure that will be part of the team's conversations this week.

Congrats on the win Bulldogs. Great atmosphere. Glad you got to play at OU. Such a great facility. BTW, Parkersburg South wouldn't have filled any stadium around here, I would have thought they traveled better.
The players, cheerleaders, band and fans were all treated to a great experience last night. Great job OU!!!
