Rangers 5 Pens 2

Game turned when Cooke got a 5 min penalty for an elbow to the face. Rangers get 2 goals to go from being down 2-1 to a 3-2 lead. Cooke has to stop these kind of penalties.

Pens vs Wings in a Monday Night Mashup in the Motor City.

The Pens stop the Wings in flight in a 5-4 shootout in Detroit tonight.Never should have gone to OT.Elvis is back in limo and on his way back to the Burgh for a match up with the Flyers Thursday night.

Pens 2 Flyers 1 SO

Flyers take the early lead but the Pens tie it on an a goal by Kennedy to start the 2nd period.

Flyers get an early goal in the shootout but the Pens tie it up and then Chris Kunitz gets the winner in the bottom of the 4th and says..."the kitchen is closed!"

Pens out play the Flyers in Philly for the extra point and are now 4-0-4 in their last 8 games.

Devils invade the Burgh for a Friday night matchup.

Pens 1 Devils 0 SO

The Devil's goalie Martin Brodeur again has the Pens number but "Sweet Baby" James Neal scores another shootout winner while Fleury says "...NO SOUP FOR YOU!" to the Devils as he gets his 3rd shutout of the season and the Pens pick up 2 points in the standings.

The Panthers invade the Console Center for a Sunday matchup with the Pens who are now in 4th place in the Eastern Conference.

Pens 2 Panthers 1 SO

Pens win their 4th in a row and are 8-2-0 in their last 10 games.

Kovalev and Neal get the goals in the SO and Fleury keeps the ol' onion bag empty "he's all over 'em like a new pair of shoes!" as the Pens win their 4th straight in a shootout.

Final 6 games for the Pens prior to the postseason...

Tuesday-Home vs Philly
Thursday @ Tampa
Saturday @ Miami
4-5 Home vs NJ
4-8 @ NY Islanders
4-10 @ Atlanta

Flyers 5 Pens 2

Flyers break open a tight 2-2 game and pull away from the Pens. "Scratch my back with a hacksaw."

Pens head to Tampa for a thursday night game and a saturday game in Miami. Crosby is traveling with the team again and cleared for practice. This is a good thing but the earliest I see him playing might be the last home game on April 5th, if he even plays before the playoffs.

Pens get the bouce back win to go 1-1 on this road trip as 4 different Pens put the biscuit in the basket.

Devils come to the Burgh for the last home game of the season. Even though the Devils are out of the playoff picture, this will still be a tough game.

Could Crosby make an appearance with a few minutes of ice time???

Blackhawks hanging on to the last playoff spot in the west by a thread.

They have 4 games left vs the Habs, Blues and 2 vs the Red Wings. Only the Blues are outside looking in on the playoffs. Tough row to hoe for Chicago.

They need at least 2 wins to secure the 8th spot, IMO. And, if they get in, they get the pleasure of facing Vancouver. Ouch.

Pens 4 Devils 2

Pens get a rare PP goal as it was just their 4th in 21 games. 4 different players scored for the Pens with 1 PP goal, 2 even strenght goals and 1 SH goal. "Call Arnold Slick from Turtle Creek!"

They also gain ground on the Flyers who lost to the Sens. Pens are 1 point behind the Flyers for the division lead with 2 games left.

Friday night matchup vs the Islanders. The key is not to get back at them for the last time we where there in the fight filled game. Payback comes next year when they come to the Burgh the first time, trust me.

Tonight was the last regular season home game for the Pens and it was their 4th straight season of soldout games. The last time a Pens game was not soldout was way back in the 06-07 season. Congrats to the Pens fans!

Home ice is secured for at least 1 round of the playoffs. Get thru the last 2 games injury free and start growing the beards.

I watched the Bucs since that is what Root was broadcasting. Will watch the Bucs again this afternoon.

I am sure Root will broadcast as many playoffs games for the Pens that they can. I hope all of them are on TV between Root, Versus and NBC as I plan on watching every one that I can.

Pens 4 Islanders 3 SO

Pens get back at the Islanders in what could have been a rough game but was only chippy at best because the Refs clamped down on both teams early.

Chris Kunitz gets the game winner in the shootout (He shoots and scores!) as the Pens are now tied with the Flyers for 1st place in the Atlantic.

Pens wrap up the regular season on Sunday at Atlanta.
