clippy clap.. clippy clapp.. Tiger Fans.. We are bringing our buggy's down to the river friday night.
Us longtime Alder fans and Alumi, feel it's a great honor to come down to Ironton for a Friday Night Match up.
Your tradition speaks for it's self. This will be a good match up, Alder has a tuff region in D4R16. 9 Straight Playoff
Appearances. Since 2006 State Runner-Up .. Eventual State Champs have knock us out of the playoff's 2 of past 3 seasons.
Big Line.. Can run the ball. QB is dangerous both trowing and running.. Defense depends on which ones shows up.
Most of the starters played on State Championship Baseball Team. Winning Is what they know.
Cal preps has us -4 on a neutral Site. Ironton (OH) 21, Alder [Jonathan] (Plain City, OH) 17
Alder should travel pretty good ... with the 8:00 PM kick off that helps..

the game next week is at 8:00 instead of 7:30? Huh, that's different.

That what was posted in the Columbus Dispatch today
Re: WEEK 6 BIGTIME SHOWDOWN PLAIN CITY JONATHON ALDER @ IRON
Huh, guess it is. Saw it on the OHSAA website. I guess that's because they have a long drive?

Trip4, here's a map (click the tiger) that shows parking at Tank Stadium. Pass it on if you don't care or post the link on other websites. Also, anyone, are they still parking cars on Ohio U's lot this year?
ps...watch your speed coming through Hanging Rock..hear us!

It makes no sense to have this game at 8. Travel distance shouldn't have anything to do with it. Ironton has traveled to Warren and Marietta and still managed to play at 7:30.

I've always wished they'd have the games again at 8 like it used to be but that's just me?
Anyway, think of it this way though, if 150 of Alder's fans decide that they can make it to the game after all, after getting off work at 5 because the game is at 8 instead of 7:30, that could put another $900.00 into the coffers. I actually bet it will be more than that too. It's almost a 3 hour drive if traffic is light and we're talking about coming around the 270 loop around Columbus and if you've ever lived in Columbus, you'll know it's brutal on Friday evenings getting out of town

Logans former coach comes back to visit his old nemisis in this one, will he get some payback from those 80's losses to the tigers,,or will he keep playing the starters against the second stringers in the second half,Tigers starters will not come out in this one thats for sure, so no controversy there, better strap it up I-town this is no Logan 80's team,, I'm sure he has been relishing and licking his chops for this game for a looooong time Good luck anyway!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------welcome to you. your scouting report, should continue on through the week. we hope. you guys have had a really great program for many years as well. get there a bit early if you can , and check out tiger alley. and the brand new ironton high school. tiger alley is the section of the building right behind the home side bleachers on the outside wall. it is chalked full of history. about the ironton fighting tigers , as well as our ole pro team , the ironton tanks. you should find plenty of seating, and great atmosphere and consessions. I SEE NO IDEA WHY THIS IS NOT COVERED BY ONN, AS A GAME OF THE WEEK. you just don't get too many regular season matchups of this caliber.especially in southeastern ohio. good luck, and may you all have a safe trip down.trip4 wrote:clippy clap.. clippy clapp.. YTB, I watch the ONN game of the week and most games on the FSN Ohio and I have never seen a game from southeast Ohio on there. In fact, I'm not sure I have ever seen a game from south of I-70. At least not recently.
I don't think they take us seriously down here. But don't get me wrong, I agree with you!

It does happen but not very often,Logan was on ONN twice last year,Portsmouth West and Ironton was on ONN few years back and way back in 2001 Ironton and P-TOWN were televised I believe, maybe few others I forgot about but probably count all of them on one hand.

The tigers have been looking good and I think they are rolling at the right time with Alder coming to town.
Re: WEEK 6 BIGTIME SHOWDOWN PLAIN CITY JONATHON ALDER @ IRON
Thanks for link for the map.. i'll pass it on..
I look for Alder to bring their A game... I'm sure this has been highlighted a longtime. I thinks it's great
Alder gets to play team like Ironton A First Class Program and
Alder spreads the balls.. QB can run and throw.. Team had over 500 yards of Offense against London Last week.
Against Marysville a quality D1 team, they matched up man for man.. size for size very good. I would say Marysville was
bigger than Massie.. Massie was just a game of big plays..
With our line size 240,310,210,320,260. WE CAN shove defense's around with the running game.
Key's to our stopping Ironton.. massive Run game. does Coate play a couple key players both ways on the
offense and D. Line..
