bad breath wrote:From my spies in southern Ohio Ironton has a very good team. However, I've been told they have yet to play a team this year of Jonathan Alder's caliber. Alder has beaten two D1 teams no matter what their records are and basically gave Cinton-Massie a big birthday gift. I'm going with Alder in this one if they don't get homered. lol...just kidding all you Tiger fans.
every team that ironton plays will play the best game of there season because of the bullseye on ironton's back goodluck to both teams and good health to both teams and IRONTON will bring there A game because at this point that is all they know and will show the North what the south is made of IRONTON FIGHTING TIGERS you make us proud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I plan on tailgaiting this week. Me and ole FT45 will have to discuss it and try to have a pretty big party before hand.

Good luck to IHS this week, the rest of the season, and in the playoffs from Gallia Co.

If not for being homered at Tanks, Ironton may be 4-1. Darn those officials! lol J/k. By far the best Ironton team I have seen in probably 10 years.

It looks like Alder matches up well with our size. They have a great program with a winning tradition and what seems to be another great team this year. Could this be a preview of a state semi-final? Have a safe trip down Alder fans and GO TIGERS!

I happened to get to see the scouting report. Both guards are HUGE, 290 and 325. Tackles are large too over 250+. They run a lot of formations and try to spread you out and run. They also have a DE that is supposed to be going to Toledo. QB is talented and best player on Offense. They are quite young with only a couple of Seniors and mostly Jr.'s. The DB's are smallish, so if we can get Warner to the second level he should be able to wear them down.

Should be as good as advertised. We will find out how good we are this week. I am sure Bob will have the D prepared.

Give me a T..............................................

I've been told the DE #53 Purdum is being actively recruited by Michigan and Illinois plus a few Mac schools. Alder has sent 2 players to Kentucky and 3 to Ohio State, Purdue and Indiana the past few years with the most notable being Donnie Nickey who is currently with the Titans of the NFL. Big 10 and Mac scouts are also looking at Alder's #77 Max Pollom who is 6'6" and 329. Graham Johnson the QB is being recruited by OU in football and Dayton for baseball.

I couldn't agree more. Alder probably could match up well with an all-star team made up of players from Ironton's first 5 opponents.

And, don't let the loss on Alder's record fool you. They should have beat Clinton-Massie.

You betcha (at least they have the past two weeks). $3.00 I think. Far as I know you can enter straight off 141; if not, there will be signs and / or people indicating where to park.
