Ironton is averaging 299.2 rushing yards per game.

For those that say, "well they should be averaging that due to their offense"...Ironton is averaging 7.1 yards per carry (YPC).

Although playing three away games and two home games, Ironton is averaging 3.8 penalties per game. Less than one per quarter. They have had 19 penalties this season...The Geen Bay Packers had 18 penalties on monday.

Brian Warner has the most carries for the team and is the "workhorse" back. He is averaging 4.8 YPC.

Tres Wilks is the playmaker on the team. He is averaging 10.7 YPC on over 50 carries. WOW.

Tommy Waginger has looked better each game and is averaging 7.6 YPC running the option attack.

Lastly...although the Ironton offense was stagnant early on, the Fighting Tigers are now scoring 31.2 points per game.

TIGERS SCHEDULE

Wheelersburg (3-2) [5:19] W 12-7 no wins against teams with winning record
Russell (KY) (3-3) [4:0] W 29-13 teams they have beatn have NO WINS
Chillicothe (1-4) [3:12] W 24-6 They beat portsmouth for only win. Ironton wins that one too
Blazer (KY) (5-1) [2:0] W 43-6 1 win against team wit winning record
Gallia Academy (4-1) [3:12] W 48-7 All wins against teams with losing records only quality team they play Ironton
Jonathan Alder (4-1) [4:16] Beat 2(D1 teams) 3 (5-0) teams left on schedule Best Team on Schedule
Jackson (4-1) [3:12] Once again no wins against a winning team
Bishop Hartley (4-1) [4:15] Quality Playoff Team good Tradition.. Pioneers have owned them lately
Fairbanks (4-1) [5:20] Good Sound Team. won't make playoffs.. ALDER JV's
Portsmouth (2-3) [4:15] No quality wins from this team
current (16-11) total (34-18)

PIONEER SCHEDULE

T. Worthington (1-4) [1:3] W 24-0 Plays 6 possible playoff teams this year
Marysville (3-2) [1:3] W 30-21 (6,000 in attendance) D1 Playoff team. County Rival first game in 19 years
Clinton-Massie (5-0) [4:16] L 27-28 (blocked PAT with 1:00 to go prevents OT, Big plays on special team)
Miami Trace (0-5) [3:12] W 56-0 ( extremly down year)Oppents (19-6)
London (2-3) [4:16] W 56-12 3 teams they lost to (11-3) record
Ironton (5-0) [4:15] Don't know much, run orinated, few passes, great tradition
Washington (5-0) [3:12] No suprised they are (5-0) another tuff away game no wins against a winning team
Ponitz Tech (1-4) [6:24] Where's Ready, Hartley this week.. Tech rugged schedule scores points
McClain (4-1) [3:12] Wins against teams with (7-18)
St Charles (5-0) Beat Canal Winchester, Sandusky, Eastmoore, Games lefts(Desales, Ursuline, Watterson, ALDER
current (11-14) total(31-20)

Looking at ths schedule so far Ironton has the edge in oppenents wins/loses.. Quality of teams played edge ALDER
The 2 Kentucky teams have beaten 1 team with a winning record.. Trace handles(russell ky and chillibowl).
Remaining schedule Edge again to ALDER.. with Court House/St.Charles (5-0)-McClain(4-1). Ironton.
Jackson, Farmbanks, Hartely.. Portsmouth.. 1 quality team ..

Pioneers are tested.. and WILL TEST the TIGERS!!!.. ALDER's young.. Most of team is JR's. quality SR's.
Skilled players played on State Championship Baseball Team. WINNING is what they do..
Im not ready to say that Jackson isnt quality yet. I havent seen them and Ironton has lost there in the past with a good team. If you want to compare, then lets look and be 100% honest...The worst team on the schedules is EASILY Ponitz Tech. After that, Fairbanks. After that...probably Miami Trace or Russell. Just because Miami Trace is D3 does not mean they are good.

Ironton continues to prove people wrong and why coach Lutz broke the record for wins in the state of Ohio

If Ironton can keep it low scoring they have a good chance tp win . if alder can stop the run it could get ugly the other way. looks like a great matchup.

There is a very simple way to compare strength of schedules and quality wins, they call it the "Point System" and it has to do with this thing they call the playoffs, of which Ironton has been to, what, say 26 TIMES!

According to the latest points, Ironton has played better opponents than JA. Just sayin. I obviously have not seen Alder play, so it is hard to make a prediction, but I have talked to people that have seen Alder films, and they all say Tigers should take care of business.

Give me a T.......................................

Second...BuckBalls, Ironton hasn't played a team like Alder this year and that does include Ashland. May the better team win.
Alder hasn't played a team like Ironton this year, either. Lutz will his his Tigers ready, believe that..

    i noticed you didn't use terms like "destroyed" and "dismantled" when describing your squeeker win over little D5 Wheelersburg.

all we hear is that it's always ironton's 1st game of the year and they always get tougher. well, that's just the sign of a poor coach to me when you bring a team into the season unprepared and they just get better because of the experience they gain each week.

yeah, i know, he's won more games than anybody...... well he's played more games than anybody.... helll, he's almost 70 years old. that's not bashing either. that's fact.
darn it must hurt to be such a hater man!!! This clown never played the game and the only thing he has to root for is anyone who plays Ironton. Probably because his team is mediocre or Ironton has handed them their ass on a regular basis. Oh yeah, I noticed you urging people to disclose their identities to you, well I have never been a keyboard warrior but would love to see you in person and see how many of those checks your mouth has signed could be cashed with that ass you lil girl!

No offense to Alder but this guy must think we're playing some D1 team from Cincinnati. Should be one unbelievable game!

Maybe I'm mistaken but I think I recall the prognosticators saying Ironton was overmatched a couple of weeks ago as well? This kinda sounds familiar huh? BTW, what happened in that game in question?

On a side note...how's the concession stand food? Anything special? Or do me and the wife need to hit the closest Wendy's before going in?

Security is tight and some say they scan for weapons. They won't allow you to carry in food or weapons of any kind.
