Was Alex the only one from the TVC to make playoffs last year? Same schedule!!

I pick the Spartans to bring home the win. Good luck to both teams and play a great game.

Yes they made the playoffs, but no the schedule was different last year. But it was still weak for a D4 team, and it showed in the playoffs.

I rememeber when homecoming vs. Alex was a sure win. My how things have changed! VC will keep this one close and with a few Alex turnovers, could steal one!

Good Luck Alex!!!!
I just don’t see VC being able to beat the Spartans VC’s program has been struggling and just can’t get out of the slump. Alex appears to be healthy and has some great athletes back on the field playing.
I have to go with my Old School and say GO SPARTANS

Thanks Leroy. Sounds like this one was a lot closer than I would have thought.

Don't recall all the scoring but Vinton County had a 96 yard interception return in the 2nd (i believe), and scored as the clock ran out in the 4th. Alex was up 28-8 at one point. From the radio broadcast it sounded like Vinton County played hard and never quit.
The announcers on WYRO called a great game.

Is the "Judge" still doing the radio broadcasts over there? He does a nice job!

He sure is! VC played well enough to win tonight but couldn't take advantage of Alexanders mistakes.Steely Dan wrote:Is the "Judge" still doing the radio broadcasts over there? He does a nice job!
Nice crowd tonight...stands were packed!

Great interception return by Ward in the game, but it definitely was NOT from the end zone. I will be getting the official word once they digest the game film. It looked to me as though he got it on the 3 or 4 yard line. Either way, Adam broke the record set in 2005 by Brody Mace against Jackson with an 88 yard return for a TD.

From what I have heard, Dusty Ward had the record at 95. Just what I have heard, nothing official. I was at mid-field, didn't see where the INT happened, went on what Adam told me. Either way, even without a record, NICE RUN.

Would be interested in the official yardage on that one though.
