Good Luck to both teams.
Peake's opponents are a combined 23-1. I think the Peake has seen a lot better competition, and has competed fairly well with that competition. I think the Peake gets their first win.

Symmes Valley and Wayne Wva are better than Wheelersburg and Zane Trace?

Both are head and shoulders better than Zane Trace but neither are as good as the Burg. Granted, the other 3 teams that each have played are common opponents (Valley, West, and Oak Hill). So, there is barely a difference in the quality of opponents played. However, Chesapeke was much more competitive again those three teams even scoring first against Valley and West. Rock Hill also scored first against Valley, but was flat embrassed against West. Chesapeake appears to be the better team here.

Comparing schedules is a waste of time....matchups, injuries, etc. RH beat Peake last year-Peake beat Fairland- Fairland beat RH.....this proves that comparing schedules is worthless unless the teams have drastically different records.

Either team is capable of running off 5 straight in the OVC....even CG has their warts with a 4-1 record.

Yadda, yadda, yadda on the schedules. Both teams are 0-5, and both will be wanting to come out 1-5.

Neither of these teams is capable of winning 5 straight for the reason you implied, footballfan: inconsistency. Rock Hill beats Peake, Peake beats Fairland, Fairland beats Rock Hill, blah, blah, blah.
That's the way to tell that all the teams involved are bad teams. Calpreps and Pasteur are completely split on this game. One has Rock Hill, the other Chesapeake. This one is seriously one where you could literally use a coin flip to make a pick and have just as good a chance of picking the winner.

You know what Fuzz, I actually AGREE with you...however I lump CG in with the rest of the OVC. I don't think that they would do any better against the common opponents of Peake or RH...they sure didn't vs Valley. It is in the matchups....Peake will not be able to beat CG...but I think RH or Fairland can....yet I think Peake could beat RH or Fairland....matchups....I only count out SP and RV in the race for the OVC....CG, CH, RH, and Fairland could all win this league...JMHO

I do not think Chesapeake is a better team at all. I have seen both play and that is my opinion. I am pretty sure they are not going to embrass us either! :122245 Sorry, I had to pull out the spelling Nazi on you. I owed you one from a few weeks back. :)
Good luck to both teams, play hard and stay injury free. either way somebody is finally going to get rid of the 0 in there win column.

No other team in the OVC would have beaten Greenup County or Athens - take it to the bank. Fairland couldn't even manage to eek out a win against lowly Meigs. The fact that both teams are 0-5 is not why I think they're bad. I've actually seen both these teams this year in person. Not pretty....

Why is it people tend to make their way to other teams threads to put both teams down? jw...My opinion, for what its worth is stick to your own teams thread and encourage your players. Quit putting these teams down. Good luck to both Rock Hill and Chesapeake. Should be a good game and hope no injuries. Once again...Valley DID put up 42 points against CG in the first half! Wait til the end of the season to brag. And i'm sure CG will probably win the conference...but it still doesnt mean you have to put the other teams down.
Just saying.

Just one other question...if you are going to the Ironton game this weekend...and you have seen BOTH these teams play...when do you ever see a game to support your own team but yet you are complaining there is no fan support....again, just wondering.

fan, I'm not the one that brought Coal Grove into it. Are you honestly telling me that everyone on here should only be allowed to pos on threads about their team? C'mon! I'm not bragging and I'm not putting anyone down. Knippswife would be the first to tell you on here that even though she doesn't like some of the things I say, I'll ALWAYS give the truth.
I'm a fan of OVC teams but the truth is the league is down and it's not just because they're playing good teams.

I saw Rock Hill play Symmes Valley in the jamboree game and I watched Chesapeake play Symmes Valley on a Saturday night. I've been to every CG game except the Trimble game.
Since the 04 season, I could count the number of CG games I've missed on one hand - I'd be happy to name them all off if you'd like....

No need to. I am not trying to start an argument. Just hate to see adults on here talking about how bad other teams and kids are....good luck. It will all unravel in 5 weeks as far as the OVC goes. But like I said, Coal Grove will probably win the rest of them. Good luck.
