Federal Hocking will probably finish last this year, if they even finish because of their numbers. What going on down there.

I won't. Shows how clueless this dolt actually is. When you have PolPot calling you out and degrading you on this forum, well, that speaks volumes.

I'm cutting bait on this one, as it is not worth my time. However, I agree, it is going to be a really rough road this year for Fed Hock, with arguably, the most talented player in the league, making the decision not to play. That, breaks my heart. And I know it does to the former players who played with her who have graduated.

Decisions are made, and you have to live with them, and then you move on. Fed Hock girls bb is going to be hurting for a while.

I'd have to say that Waterford has a couple of players much better and would have been the best players in the league. I know one is the younger Brown girl and I beleive the other is Drayer? spelling may be wrong. Maybe Federal should just fold up and wait until next year to play.

My God I heard they only had 5 players at the preview. More coaches then players. How are you going to play with 5 once flu season or injury happens. The might as well fold the program until they get some players coming up. It seems like it would be a waste of resources.

78: I think you should step in and save this program! Your vast knowledge and expertise you are the logical fit, and then your kid would actually get to play!

It is a sad deal. In the past Federal Hocking had such great girls teams now they hardly have enough to play, very sad. Maybe a lot of the blame should go on the coaches that left them after last year? Hopefully things will get better.

He also had a couple of assistants that took off from last year as I understand it. They would have been or should have been more involved in player development.

Ok I have to weigh in as the mother of one of the 5 FH girls. True, they may not finish the season, and their season is going to be tough. But, these girls have been working hard (some all summer long), and play with heart and do their best. They didn't just step in at the last minute to fill the roster, they were players (4 are freshmen) who were intending, from the beginning, to be part of the basketball program at FH. I can guarantee you that none of the freshmen were intending to be Varsity starters, and certainly not to be 1 of 5. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, they've been left to carry on. They are doing the best they can, growing as athletes and young ladies. I sure hope they get support because they are working sooooo hard, against the odds, to keep the program going.

I'm with you SBM. The school and community need to support these girls, they are winners in my book.

I agree. I wish Fed Hock and their girls nothing but the best. It will be tough but hang in there. Coming from a parent of a once struggling program, been there done that. Looking back the memories are all positive. Best of luck girls, parents and program.

One of the biggest things to do is not treat these players as a charity case, hopefully they taste some of these losses and in years to come return the favor with a program that grew under their hard work.
