I have watched Wellston football for years I seen this play calling when they coached junior high and it is still the same. You can not call every game the same way useing plays you want to work then blame the kids for not doing it right. You need to mix up play calling change for every game. People complain about the coaches being called out. They should be yes we played very good teams in close games. You lose close games because you was out coached the kids work their butts off but are not given the chance to win. Open up the play calling earlier in the game. You said it your self "the play calling is same as week one " the diffence is everyone has tape of it and they set up defense to stop it but they are to hard headed to see that and keep calling the same game. The only way to change it just may be calling out the coaches. Just because your freinds does not make him right guy for the job take a step back from the sidelines and get a good look at what is going on.boilermaker wrote:Sounds like you are supporting them! Getting on here bashing coaches . The play calling is the same as week one ,same coach that called that game is calling them now. The difference is execution you have to block the play right to be successful and we have been inconsistant in getting it done on every play.

Re: TVC-Ohio: Alexander @ Wellston
HaHaHa.. I do not care what a former player from last year thinks such as you. I have been around rocket football for a long time. I watch you play last year, and the previous three years. And upon saying that, i think its safe to say that you do NOT know the difference between the zone read and a dive. I will say it again, Wellston has yet to run the DIVE this year. Former players like you with negativity that have no idea what they are talking about, are the ones who give coaches a bad name.Rocket50 wrote:louie, I know what read is and yes wellston does do that but they also do a simple give up the gut to the rb in shotgun witnessed with my two eyes, and caulker10 was there and saw it with his!
Re: TVC-Ohio: Alexander @ Wellston
i caught that too.Humm well hummm never mind.DILLIGAF wrote:( I hate it and so does the rest of the coaching staff)boilermaker wrote:You would Rocket50 ,,I can tell you there is no favoritism on this team. Come to the practices and see for yourselves. I know most of you posters ,and yet to see any of you at one practice.
Louie_15 is spot on about the criticism , it rediculious . The teams we have lost to are pretty good football teams . I suggest you watch both sides of the ball . I dont like lossing any more than anyone. I hate it and so does the rest of the coaching staff.
swampy ,, Im just saying sometimes the execution is not always there .There is no jealousy on this team so dont even start that trash. If all 11 dont do their job the play has a good chance of breaking down. The team is getting better each and every day .
GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: TVC-Ohio: Alexander @ Wellston
louie 15, I don't care what you think about me and how I played. I started for three years, I must have done something right! And yes I do know the difference between the read and a dive maybe you don't. And yes their is a lot of negativity coming from us former players maybe because were sick of seeing so much losing. Go to any town that has losing and hear what they have to say its going to be a lot of what your hearing right now in Wellston!

Hutch needs to take control before it's to late.get more players involved, pound the two fullbacks more and where's the tightend pass when defence playing 9 in box.#11 is not the stud morgan thinks he is spread the ball around coaches.
Re: TVC-Ohio: Alexander @ Wellston
Old*Rocket, I think #11 is a stud! But you're right they do need to run the ball with both fullbacks more! Its seems to me when Miller is going the line is going, this is a lot like last year, when Miller was playing good the whole team was playing good. I would also like to see Timmy Ervin get some carries on counters and sweeps he may not be the fastest but I believe he runs the hardest on the team!

You know, it would be nice — just once — if the Wellston community as a whole would support its football coaches and staff.
The same people out there that hailed Coach Hutchinson as a genius after the Jackson game are the same ones who now think he has no idea what he is doing.
Absolutely amazing. Not surprising, though.
Good luck to the Golden Rockets and coaching staff the rest of the season.

I think that coach hutch needs to let these "critics" coach a game; see if they could even move the chains one time. These posts are embarrassing.
Re: TVC-Ohio: Alexander @ Wellston
Watch what you say about players........ Don't be mad at #11, and he is a "stud". Just because every team we play absolutely keys on him, doesn't mean he's not good. Like we all said before, we gotta change it up... But do t pin point one player, that's not cool... Also he's prolly the hardest working kid I've ever seen...

Re: TVC-Ohio: Alexander @ Wellston
WOW!, Im sorry Hutch, you dont deserve this garbage. VC may be down right now, but theres alot of good people trying to get it going. I saw alot of Wellston posters laughing at VC for being a 1-9 team this year, yeah we may be but we dont have near this much negativity. To the common sense Rocket fans, its gonna get better.
Re: TVC-Ohio: Alexander @ Wellston
Viking96, ur fans or whatever you call them have ran every coach out of vc. What the he'll you talking about....
Re: TVC-Ohio: Alexander @ Wellston
Case point, we both have new coaches this year correct and high hopes of a turnaround. Thus far were both struggling, look at this embarrasing thread, do you see any VC threads like this? But your right Caulker, why am I even trying to post on here, im out to help make it better!

So your saying the fans should sit quietly with their hands crossed not say anything? I hope i never see wellston football get to the point that no one cares enough to raise their voice and challenge when things are not going good. Yeah most people are not coaches and do not know everything about football, but they see no production from running silmilar run plays. Then they march down and score mixing in passes. Even the deaf dumb and blind should be able to see where the fans are coming from all they are asking is to try something different before the game is out of reach. If that means different players trying different plays WE JUST ASKING FOR A BIT OF CHANGE. you are so busy defending the coaches you do not see that it a passion to win that brings people to want change.louie_15 wrote:Great Post@nd_1 wrote:I think that coach hutch needs to let these "critics" coach a game; see if they could even move the chains one time. Re: TVC-Ohio: Alexander @ Wellston
bobcatfan4728, great post! I know it seems negative what some of us are saying but its not its our passion for the game that most of us played & its hard watching these boys go through what I went through as a player, as in running the same plays not being creative and losing! Once again great post!

Re: TVC-Ohio: Alexander @ Wellston
New coach, new attitude. Give the program a few yaers and I bet things will be turned around.
Beating Jackson wa great for Wellston, but after that everyone had dreams of a 10-0 season. It takes time to biuld a program. Give that coaching staff a break. The kids play hard and they don't stop until the game is over. They are working hard and they are responding to the things the coaching staff is trying to do.
DON'T RUN THIS COACH OUT OF TOWN.

No disrespect Viking96, just a little disgruntled..... It'll be a good one week 10...
Re: TVC-Ohio: Alexander @ Wellston
First of all, i am not busy defending anyone. This is my first post pertaining to this subject. Give some of these other teams that we play credit, they all are GREAT teams. In most of the games we have lost, we have been beat up front, so it doesn't matter what plays you run.bobcatfan4728 wrote:So your saying the fans should sit quietly with their hands crossed not say anything? Most of the games we lose isn't even because of the offense. Our defense is not very good at all. The one Alexander scoring play, the kid broke at least 6 tackles to trot into the end zone. That kind of stuff happens all of the time. The coaches can't do any of the tackling.
And again, we have only won 7 games in three years. Baby steps guys, baby steps.
