'ole Bobcat...sorry, but Wade Jarrell is a sophomore. Too, Gallia's two big boys had an outstanding game at Pataskala Friday night. You should have seen the Hornets big guys.

Wellston is alot better than what ppl think, the Jackson game could have easily been 14-0 but IMO Wellston just gave up at the end, then they rebound with a great win vs. A solid minford team.. I see a great game Friday.. As usual GA is never a push over, they always field a good hard hitting team.. Good luck rockets...

Sorry,
was a misquote i meant Licking Heights Line not GA,they looked ok when i saw them, are they still experimenting with the tackles at guard like against meigs?
I do think Wellston has a speed advantage in the lines and backs.

No........ hehehe

They have several starters back from last years team, but lost most of the skill players. They're a much different team than last year. Big up front, ground and pound.

I think GAHS will win, but no one should underestimate Wellston.

I think both of these teams are very good defensively. At the same time, both haven't had much offensive production in the first couple weeks. This would lead me to believe that this will most likely be a low-scoring game.

Wellston will be playing their first game in the newly renovated stadium, and will have the ESPN factor on their side. That emotion and excitement could really benefit them. I have already seen both teams play this season, and if I had to make a pick, it would be Gallia Academy. However, I have to think that Wellston will play well and make this a very competitive game.

I still have high hopes for a good season for GAHS. I think most of their games will be low scoring affairs.

I would think ESPN being there would be a distraction to Wellston....happy for the whole community though.

I think BLUE DEVILS win!

With the game Guisinger had at LH, Wellston will probably have something in their game plan to try and neutralize him. Gragg may be double teamed less and if so he will make them pay. If they continually double them both the LB's and DE's will have big games.
GO BLUE!!!!!

THANKS GONNA WORK HARD

Looks like the weather will be bad Friday. Wellston will have trouble handling the press, internet, stat people, filmers, radio broadcasters, the scoreboard operator and timer, local and visiting coaches, etc.

I suggest the fine people of Wellston start a drive for a new pressbox and name it after the legendary Bob Willis who covered sporting events for the Rockets for more than 60 years.

Actually, Jottings, the press box at Wellston's C.H. Jones Field is already named after Bob Walton.

Although, Bob Willis should be recognized at the stadium in some capacity.

But you are correct on one count: they do need a new press box.
