2010 Warren Warriors

Post by Auburntgrfan »

Any early news on this years edition? Numbers up from @6 at end of year, last year? Hope some freshmen bring some new blood. Will the older Rhor wrestle, watched him nursing a limp much of the football season, Harlow, hows his back?, Quinn, Hendrix, Parsons, Eckelman, Antill, Maebus, Knotts are all back. What about Sampson and Rhors' younger brother? That would put them at 11 if all the above wrestle and can finish a season. If some freshmen come out the possability of a full team may be there. Hope so, in any case.

Wow. Can't believe that nobody, but nobody has anything to comment on the state of the Warriors this season. Is it that bad, or has it sank so low that the faithful have just given up? Who is out for sure?

Maybe Belpre can tag along some fill in wrestlers...? WCH, maybe you can suggest if Warren doesn't have a full roster that they get some help from Waterford or Belpre...just sayin it would be good for all involved and fill the actual purpose of a "scrimmage".

Belpre is more than welcome to attend. Someone would need to contact me at [email protected] It is not that kind of scrimmage. I have 8 teams attending it will be run like a regular practice, except it will be all live wrestling.

Warren will have close to a full team, maybe one or two holes.

Good to hear that thye may have a close to full roster. With all the cut backs, going on. Hope that the Wrestling team can improve numbers and avoid any possible chopping block.

;-) Don't mean to jump into a personal thing here, between you guys, but know a couple of wrestlers personally and have been told that all summer there was only two to three out for weight lifting, so the team has not been there. Although some have been making the trip the Graham for open mats, clinics, etc. So that is a big, big plus for the team. Also heard today in Barlow at the place for gossip, "White Oak Pharmacy" that possibly up to three are now lost to academics, just on the wrestling team, don't know who, but that still has to hurt.
Hope the remaining team members keep their grades up and keep working. This could be a year for some good solid performances from individuals, when there is not enough spots for the team to do well. I guess, I mean they may be a good tournament team and not do real well at duals/tris/quads. Anyway good luck Warriors.

If there only missing a couple weights they have a very good chance of being competitive not only in duals but tournaments as well. Sounds like the numbers are decent. Good numbers at each weight class breeds competition. I'm hoping this Warren team has that competitve, "killer instict" back that leads to success. Warren has one hell of a tradition in wrestling lets get that trend going again. I look at this roster and see some real studs that can make this happen espicially Parsons, Rohr's, Hendrix and Harlow. Seems like a pretty solid roster to me.

First of all if you dont know what your talking about dont say it cause warren is only missing 3 weight classes and has a pretty good lookin team and could be a real component this year and they have a coach who knows what he is doing

...umm okay. How bout I would've asked, like I did, if Belpre could've filled the 3 mt spots Warren has. I don't know or care how many mt spots Warren has. I was merely trying to ask if it would be okay to fill those mt spots with non Warren wrestlers. Turns out, Belpre is not going, good luck.

Not quite sure why the tone took off like this. I don't think it should/could've been construed that I was being negative towards anyone in anyway. Geesh.

I'm not a Warren grad and wasn't trashing them. Good luck finding the type of kids you are looking for. Again, geesh.

Thanks, 90goldeneagle, for making a post that made a little more sense. I don't know or want to know who this other fellow is and you likely won't see me on any more Warren Forums until the week of the Burt Builders Classic, and then it won't be anything bad. Not quite sure where this other guy is coming from.
