Meigs is definately a different animal when they play at home opposed to on the road so I really don't know what to expect except for a close game.

I would say Wellston in this one, but after the loss to Alexander, I'm not to sure anymore about this team. Is this the same team that beat Jackson and took Minford to the wire?

I agree with you Vladimir , I would just call it a season and lets get focused on next year. Because if they lose one more game there's going to be a Civil war in Wellston. Its getting ugly up there , coaches fighting brothers fans fighting explayer wantabes, parents calling out coaches, old has beens wanting to shot guys with there Caulking guns, Get it Caulker10, its getting heated up in that town.
Like I said in many posts Wellston is now to turn on its coaches and the worst part of that Hutch is a home town boy.
I hope Phillips is reading these posts and stays in Oak Hill.
Lets go Meigs , Light them bottle rockets up.

I don't think any opponent on the schedule is going to take Wellston lightly--and they shouldn't. Part of that comes from the program (tradition and reputation), and part of it comes from this year's team performance, especially beating a long-time rival right out of the gate in week 1. It seems to me (I may be wrong here) that Wellston is a solid football town that has high expectations for the program, and rightfully so. It's always a tough adjustment with a first year coach, and I figure it would be even more so if it's a hometown coach and the wins aren't coming fast enough.
I've seen Wellston play once this season (vs. Alexander) and I saw some things that a lot of programs would love to have---good numbers, some very skilled players, and (maybe most important) a group that never quit. I would not be surprised to see Wellston win out and finish at 5-5 on the season.
Wellston over Meigs on the road. Good luck to both teams, and to Boilermaker.

As I said in my previous post I think the Rockets will win this game in a close hard fought game, but I also think that if they're going to win they need to get Miller in the mix more with the running game & get Osborne the ball in space and let him use his speed and quickness to move the ball!

Just a side note to this game. This should be the last game played on this field with a new facility under construction at Meigs, and the Marauders on the road the last two weeks. It is ironic because the first game played on this field in the 1950s Pomeroy played and defeated Wellston 12-0. Just a bit unusual I thought!
