Meigs usually plays though at home. Not the greatest field but a real home field advantage. I love watching games there. I will take Meigs at home 28-21.

This game can be heard live on ESPN 1390 AM and FM 97.1 The Point and also online at http://www.wyvk.com.
The AM power will drop at sunset so RV fans best bet will be online.

Click on the LISTEN LIVE at top left of page. You will then hear the FM stream if the Wahama/Eastern game has started. Just click on ESPN RADIO STREAM at top middle of page. Jimmer Soulsby and Tony Hawk on the call.

Meigs 22
River Valley 0
Meigs controlled the ball and clock 1st half scoring aTD each of the 1st 3 qtrs
RV passed the ball almost every down in the 2nd half.
Meigs has improved since the GA scrimmage.
RV went to a 5 man line in the 3rd slowed the run.
I bet Meigs was called for holding over 10 times.

I was hoping for a closer final. Did we look better in any aspects?

Defense played hard all night, I thought was the worst the offense looked all year. Perhaps we abandoned the run too soon williams was starting to get yardage up the middle the we abandoned the run passed every down. ?

THE UGLY spread has arrived at River Valley!
Flash back from last year.
It was ugly,I liked the option look to Williams for the one 1st down getting him on the corner on smaller guys,I think that play went for 7 or 8 yards.
When you have 1 receiver 1 rb and 1 te who can catch how can you run the spread?
#10 had all night but threw high on several passes.
I would love to see #22 or #3 get a chance to play RB.
One thing about the Defense they play hard every down,I think that both Meigs RB limped off at some point to nite. They had to make drives to score and had to fight to get into the end zone.
I thought Meigs could have been called for holding on every play, they tackle DL and LB no wonder the backs had a good 1st half.
Long Drive to Beverly next weekend.
Keep your heads up Raiders.

Any RV fans know what the timeline is for the new stadium to open? I heard maybe later this month. If you have pics, please post 'em. Thanks.
I used to live in Gallia Co. and moved away early in the summer this year. Excited to see to new digs.

I heard last night that RV will not be able to play on the new field this year. Not sure if that's true but if so it's very dissapointing.

Are you surprised? When they started there was no way it was gonna be ready this year!

Look on www.gallialocal.org

Who knows if they will play or not on that field this year. It wouldn't be a good idea, unless we want to resod next year.

Meigs limped off the field, hum, total offence meigs 422 RV 52, just wonder who limped home.
PS # 21 meigs fullback limped for 111 yds. and the #26 tailback limped for 205 yrds.. Hope they limp every game.....

The funny thing Meigs was flagged for holding 12 times it should have been 30 times. I watched the game on tv Tues Night the one tackle and center plainly tackled the defense it was comical to watch. Nice technique no wonder the kids had that kind of yardage lol

Good luck to both teams. I thought this game was about to become a league rivalry in 2014, but I guess RV will have to form league rivalries with Trimble and Wahama from what I'm hearing.

But the River Valley team had several penalities that was never called , I seen one hard facemask, and the ref seen and looked away.. This week hopefully, Meigs has different ref's
