A. No need for cussing.
B. I played last year and I don't remember hearing ANYTHING about soaking the fields. There was never any attempt to destroy the football field. Show me a video if you want to prove me otherwise. Otherwise shutup. because I won't believe heresay.

Alex would have finished 11th in Ny's region last year. But they were better on that night. The planets were lined up and the heavens poured. lol
Last year's Nelsonville team was not a better team than alexander. Alexander was 21 points better than Nelsonville, actually.

Alexander may have been the better team last year against Nelsonville, but that was last year and this is this year. Alexander doesnt stand a chance coming to Boston Field this week, if the buckeyes play football. If the bucks come out dragging it could be just like last years game. i believe they will come ready to play though. They want revenge and this game could decide whether or not they make the playoffs. Also saying that the coaches soaked the field last year is about one of the stupidest things i have ever heard. It rained all week long, and other games were played on the field that week. Go Buckeyes!

I drove by the field last night and I saw Davey and the old man out there with extension cords and hair dryers. LOL! A week of rain dorked up the Alex field last year, and I doubt water hoses had anything to do with it. The Spartans are obviously better 'mudders' than the Buckeyes. That was probably the most miserable conditions I've seen for a FB game. Oh well, they kicked our butts!

This is 2010, and that won't matter. This will be a great game, and is what makes HS football special, no matter the outcome. I hope both team stay injury free, and I hope NY plays well. :)

Go bucks!

ucantcme wrote:Didnt say the coaches were soaking down but that is intersting to. Its out there. Just ask around some seniors have it on their phones. Or did. Be a fool to keep it on there. Didnt justify the loss. Alexander was the better team in 6 inches of mud. Weird though that the feild hasnt looked like that before or since. No mud bowl this friday. Just a good football game. Good luck!

Guys I have no dog in this fight, but last year it rained on Fridays during weeks 6, 7, and 8 pretty much all over the state of Ohio. Add Varsity, JV, Jr High, and all the Youth football teams that need to play on a field during those 3 weeks, that is a lot of abuse (and for some maybe band and soccer). I know this because the team I follow got a first round home game and had to move it to a place with turf because the field was completely wasted. That was week 11. Since grass doesn't grow in this part of the world very quickly during this time of year you are not going to see much difference in a football field from one week to another once it gets trashed.

I don't have a dog in the fight but it looks to be one heck of a game. If i'd have to make a prediction I guess it would go to the home field advantage. Good luck to both teams and stay injury free for the extended season.

Big Game league championship on the line. Other than that. Alex could lose this game win in week 10 and make the playoffs. Ny needs the win here and then again vs Athens to make the playoffs. If its a close game both teams go at it to the end. If NY would get up a few scores on Alex would they pull some key players to keep them or get them healthy to assure a victory against Meigs and have them for a playoff game or run the chance of a loss with loss of players with Playing beat up the next week against Meigs. Ny will have to play it out if they get down.. interesting decisions coming up on friday night. Good luck. would be great to get two teams in

NY's D will be to much for Alex to handle......

The Bucks should be able to control the tempo of the game. I look for 2 fired up teams to come out and play one heck of a football game.

Only common opponent thus far are Wellston and Vinton County.

Alex Scores
Alex 17 Wellston 14
Alex 28 VC 20

NY Scores
NY 28 Wellston 21
NY 42 VC 6

Anyone that watched the Wellston game knows that the score did not indicate the game. NY had control of the whole game. I think a lot of neutral fans will be disappointed on Friday night. I think NY will win big. Also think NY prepared themselves for the playoffs with their non-leauge schedule very well this year. Look for Alex to not get much going on Friday until maybe late in the game when it is already out of hand.

Last year isn't going to put points on the board for either team this year. Last year NY got beat..Way to go Spartans!!!

This is a going to be a good game (at least for a half). The players on both teams will be focused on winning this game, When the ball is kicked off they won't tbe thinking about last years game or next years game.

My prediction.......The Buckeye Defense will have a big night!

GO BUCKS GO!!!!!!!!!!
