im just going to follow up my last statement and say that alex better just not shut the bus off when they get there, its gonna be a quick one...

I would follow up with that and figure you are not a NY fan at all.Just stirring the pot. Ny knows what is on the line tonight and have been as focused and fired up and well just angry as I have ever seen them. They know who is who for Alex and are very pumped. There will be some of the hardest hitting going on at Boston field as we have seen in a while.

im gonna follow up AGAIN......and say that i indeed AM and NY fan, and past alumni........and i would say that some of the hardest hitting was going on tonight, from alexanders illegal blocks in the back, to jacob coons HUGE hit, putting an alexander player on the ground in the fourth quarter to lead to a 85 yard pick 6......enough said......good game bucks lets take a couple rounds in the playoffs now

Could someone please clarify something for me? Does it take two teams to play a football game or was Nelsonville forced to play by themselves on the muddy field last year at Alexander? I guess I'm not understanding why the comments about the field conditions last year, it's making no sense to me. Two teams playing on the same field but one whines that they had to play in unfair conditions. I'm very puzzled, maybe there has been a rule change since I played eons ago.

yea we played on the same field, and that was fair.......and im not making excuses dont get me wrong, NY lost fair and square, BUT when NY practices on turf all year, and the whole week getting prepared for alex, and alex practices on MUD the entire week, i think theres a GREAT disadvantage.......was it just me, or did anyone else get to the game early in 09 to see coach Arno hosing down the field :122246 :122246 :122246

Great game, great atmosphere tonight. It was a slugfest in the first half, it reminded me of two heavyweight fighters, trying to knock the other out.

NY came out in the second half on a mission, and Alex really didn't have an answer. After seeing both teams play prior to this game, I really didn't see much of an advantage for either team, other than the fact that I thought that the NY QB could throw the ball alot better than what people were giving him credit. And he proved himself tonight with some of his throws.

Both teams played really hard, left it on the field, no doubt about it. Now, I do have one thing to say. Yes, I was there, and those of you who know me know that my kids went to Fed Hock, and my son played football, when they had good teams. That was not me that called into the Rusty Martin show and started griping about the officiating of tonight's game. The officiating was fine. Yea, they may have missed a call or two, but overall, I thought they called a good game.

O&B - Sorry that I didn't make it over to see you tonight buddy, but once I found my "spot" to watch the game, I didn't want to lose it. Great crowd tonight.

Congrats to both teams and I hope that both squads make the post season. LEROY- As always, a pleasure to catch a game with you. And it was great to meet your friends Tom and Bill, I enjoyed watching the game with them, too.

At this point, I don't know, I'm going to play it by ear for now. I want to "scan the horizon" and see if there is a game other than the Buckeyes and the Bulldogs that intrigues me........

Taggert has been doing that all season long. He has had a fine year. That young man has some talent and I hope he is able to show it at the next leval.
